That’s how HE was appointed. Baucus retired early to give the Dems a leg-up by having the Gov appoint his Dem replacement. Didn’t work out as planned.
NJ brought old Lautenberg back. I’ll bet Montana Rats bring back Baucus from his Chinese vacation. It’s not like Obama’s political State Dept. appointees actually accomplish any diplomacy.
