Obama does not understand.

Disagree. He understands perfectly.

He is destroying sovereignty.

Well gosh, I’ve been waiting for someone like you to tell me what to do. Should I tote my gun out into the street and just start shooting?

I initially agreed that he wouldn’t do this before the Nov elections. OTOH he might do it to stir up more use of “impeachment” almost exclusively by the Dims - more campaign funds (they made something like $2M in one weekend after harping on it) and to get more Dims to the polls (I don’t think most are very energized right now).

All that said, as I posted on another thread, I heard on Fox and Friends earlier that Obummer is going to leave his Martha’s Vineyard vacay on August 17th to go back to the WH for meetings for 2 days. They predicted it might be to sign an immigration EO. There are other threads wrt corporate taxes and companies making money overseas that should be taxed here. Lizzie Warren, Turban Durbin and a RI Senator wrote a letter to him encouraging him to issue an EO on same. Maybe we’ll get 2 EO’s on Aug 17 & 18.

Dear FRiends, thanks for making this thread so great. I posted it and immediately and got a call from my doc who had a cancellation if I got there in 30 minutes. Sorry I missed the fun but feeling much better today.

I think I’ll send a note to my staunch Republican congresswoman. I want to know what the game plan is.

Isn’t that what the Texan bravado is all about?

You tell me - are you a Texan? Do you think we all have oil wells in our back yards and ride horses to town? I don't break the law - my Governor is sending men to defend our border. Should I go down there and disrupt those who are trained to do this job just because I'm a big bad Texan and want to prove to the world that I'm doing something?

Are you helping in your town? Do you employee illegals to do your lawn or to clean your house? We don't and trust me, it is hard to find Americans who do any sort of hard labor because the illegals can be paid peanuts and the business doesn't have to pay insurance or taxes or worry about any sort of law suits against them.

No, I live in MN and I always thought that Texan’s were different. DONT MESS WITH TEXAS et al.

We can post our complaints and talk big, but when does personal responsibility come into play.

We mow our own lawns and shovel our own driveways.

You “big bad Texans” sure talk big. all talk?

Well first of all, "don't mess with Texas" was a campaign slogan to stop littering in the State, so people like you who don't know what you are talking about decided it meant we think we are big and bad. So please don't litter if you are visiting our great State.

And secondly, I assume you don't want me to break the law and just go out and start murdering people on the streets, right? Do you expect us to act like we are living in some western from the 50's and leave our homes, jobs, children, and head down to form a human shield along the border? Have you done that to prevent folks from entering from Canada? You are a border State so are you defending your border the way you seem to expect law abiding citizens of Texas to do?

I don't "talk big" - if I can't do something I admit it. My personal responsibility as an American is to abide by the laws of the land. Obviously our president is not doing that so I have to rely upon my Governor and Senators, and congressmen to do something about that, however, if the day comes when there is no law in this country, you can bet your ass we will defend ourselves. But expecting me or anyone in Texas to openly break the law just because you think we talk big is ridiculous and not worthy of a conservative.

Look, I apologize for my tone - I attacked you and I was wrong to do it. I can assure you this is a subject that is discussed often in our home, and my husband and son both argue for an all out assault because our government is letting us down. For a family that almost never argues about anything, we have had some heated discussions about the invasion. If I had an answer as to how to legally do something and not end up in jail, I would share it with the world, but for now, we have to hope our legislators do something and if not, we have to hope the citizens of this country make their voice heard in the upcoming elections.

Again, I'm sorry I took this tone with you - it wasn't deserved and I didn't honor myself as a conservative, a Texan or an American by doing so.

You are ok. I think you’re great. You have that Texan Spirit that we hear about. I bet there’s real frustration down there. We are cool. I’m not offended.

Tonight my group of ladies were going to try stand up paddle boarding. I have been practicing getting up off the floor w/o grabbing a chair all year. When I got to the lake, nobody was there. The park person moved our outing to a different lake, and I didn’t read the email. Honestly, I don’t think I can stand up on the darn thing. They need to attach chairs to them. and a motor. Oh, never mind...
