“Primary healthcare will be delivered by mid level providers and paramedics in the not to distant future.”

That's already true for routine care at many clinics, doctors’ offices, and HMOs. The nurses, nurse practitioners, and PCs do most of the clinical workups and examinations. Mrs riverdawg insists on seeing her dermatologist during an appointment, and that often adds 30 minutes to her wait time.

Johns Hopkins has established a medical tourism hospital in Panama. Google it.

This is why when Canada nationalized health insurance they barred doctors from accepting fee for service.

Until their Supreme Court scuttled that a couple of years ago.

Kind of amazed our current crowd in Washington did not attempt the same.

I have a family member in nursing school who had been trained on how to give a complete physical. Just sayin'

This is why Hillarycare criminalized seeking or providing healthcare outside the system.

That little gem will make its way back in, be assured.

Probably because of the potential for rebellion among the rich Northeast and Cali/PacNW Libs the Dems rely on for fundrausing. Whose $$$ buys them an immediate “out” from any socialized healthcare scheme and allows them to see any doc they want any time they want.

I Canada it took about 14 years to get to a one payer system. The Canada Health Act enslaved the doctors!

For years Canadians came to the U.S. for things such as MRIs and CAT Scans. Otherwise they would have waited two years or more.

A woman giving birth to quints had to go to Montana to give birth because they couldn’t handle it in Vancouver.

Even their own politicians come to the U.S. for lifesaving treatments.

I wonder where they’ll go now?

Oh just wait until your medical license is tied in to defacto slavery. You WILL treat everyone regardless of compensation. That’s a nice medical license you’ve got there, it’d be a shame if something were to happen to it.

No. There will be doctors. They studied human anatomy on a dog in a thatched hut in Bangladesh. They know what sound the Poobaaa bird makes as it flies across the Ganges. They are familiar with the sound made by one hand when it claps. They will work wonders.
