This morning, the Azerbaijani mass media disseminated information about the deaths of four more soldiers as a result of the attack, carried out with the Karabakh territories now occupied by Armenian FORCES.

In response to these acts of sabotage Azerbaijan raised in air fighters. Aircraft were flown along the front line, told reporters at the Ministry of defense of Azerbaijan.

Russia 'concerned' over Azerbaijan-Armenia clashes

At least 10 people were killed in skirmishes this week between Azeri government forces and ethnic Armenians controlling Nagorno-Karabakh on Friday.

RUSSIA EXPRESSED CONCERN on Saturday over a flare-up of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh, a breakaway enclave of Azerbaijan with a majority Armenian population, and said ANY ESCALATION WOULD BE UNACCEPTABLE.

At least 10 people were killed in skirmishes this week between Azeri government forces and ethnic Armenians controlling Nagorno-Karabakh, officials from the two sides said on Friday.

"We see the events of recent days as a SERIOUS VIOLATION of agreements on a ceasefire and declared intentions to achieve a regulation (of the conflict) through political means," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"We take the position that ANY FURTHER ESCALATIONS IS UNACCEPTABLE," it said.

Fighting between ethnic Azeris and Armenians erupted in 1991 and a ceasefire was called in 1994. But Azerbaijan and Armenia have regularly traded accusations of further violence around Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Azeri-Armenian border. http://www.turkist.org/2014/08/karabakh.html

For those that don’t know, Armenia has, in the past, aligned with Russia. Azerbaijan is more aligned with the West. I hesitate to say that it’s Ukraine 2.0, but it’s Ukraine 2.0.

Putin recently visited both countries, to try and improve relations. and the current cease-fire was brokered by Russia.

Armenia is currently aligned with Putin.

For those that don't know Azerbaijan is a Shia Muslim country with Turkic ethnicity but with political relgious ties to Persia/Iran that was for most of its history part of the Persian Empire. Azerbaijan has the highest percentage of Shia Muslims after Iran.

Armenia is an Orthodox Christian country historically aligned to Russia.

Um why are we supposed to support the Azerbaijanis heck the Armenians were the first christian nation in existence. As I’ve said once we are in no position financially or politically (domestically speaking) to go through another Cold War.

Face it as long as Putin is in charge there will be some conflict in that part of the world. If 80% of his populace supports him then let them pay the price for their blind patriotism when their living standards are cut in half and Russia is playing second fiddle to the Chinese.

NOTE RUSSIA BACKS Areminia:

1- Although in decline, the Russian community second largest ethnic minority in Azerbaijan, the largest in the South Caucasus and one of the largest outside of Russia. the community still numbers 119,300 people as of 2009.

2- Azerbaijan fears Putin’s regional ambition. There is concern that Putin’s attention will shift southward after Crimea.

This Caspian Sea nation is the ONLY westward route for central Asian oil and gas that bypasses Russia.

Russian troops are already stationed in neighboring Georgia and Armenia. REMEMBER: Putin RECENT STATEMENT: “Russia will “never leave” the region.”

I’m sorry I see that you support the Ukrainians and all but we simply have to many pressing matters in this country. You honestly think this will end well? You somehow think the EU is a benevolent organization here? Let Russia implode when the russian masses can no longer afford to support Putin. We don’t have to manipulate it just wait.

In 2019 is the next presidential election in Russia, knowing Putin he might try to run a fourth term, by that point sanctions will have it and the United States might have a President with a groin. Putin can’t last forever.

His ambitions are completely impossible given the accelerating westward orientation of former soviet states and the fact that demographically Russia will not survive.

And I’m sorry to say that in the EU Ukraine won’t be happy-once the initial euphoria winds down and the tax tyranny and debt slavery of the European Union grip the Ukrainians are going to wish they’d chosen something better.

So you position is noted, we need to support the Ukraine Ta Taz and the Azerbaijan folks, Muzzies all.

"Citizens of Azerbaijan are reportedly fighting among various terrorist groupings in Syria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. According to the data of Azerbaijani information agency Vesti.az, the total number of Azerbaijani terrorists in these countries is 300. Meanwhile, according to information provided by the Azerbaijani media, about 200 Azerbaijani terrorists have died within the last three years in Syria alone."

If it were really a serious matter, Azerbaijan and the Ta Taz would bring their tough guys who are busy beheading Christians and fellow Muzzies in the ME home.

I forget, are they "terrorists" when they fight for Assad or when they fight against him? The US, of course, is supplying those who fight against Assad and who just happens to be Shite like most Azerbaijanis are. I will say Azerbaijan has jailed and even threatened to execute a few of their own citizens for terrorism as well as anyone else who gets in the way of keeping the petroleum and natural gas flowing.

Like Assad, at one time they tolerated Christians well. Now, they're blowing away Armenians for . . . . Now why is it that the poor endangered Azerbaijanis are blowing away Armenians? Sounds like a wealthy Muzzie mixed bag at best but headed for the worst if the number of recruits to jihad in Syria and elsewhere is any indication.

So I should worry about what Azerbaijan fears, hmmm. Just as long as Iran doesn't get de facto control I don't much care, actually.

By the by, are you a Sunni or Shia Methodist?
