PPE is made from a variety of materials, depending on what it’s supposed to protect you from. The suits in the picture are probably Tyvek, intended to protect against particles and droplets, but not concentrations of liquids. The advantage of Tyvek is that it’s breathable. Once you go to the impermeable suits, it gets really, really hot in there.

I’m more interested that the guy on the left appears to be wearing a PAPR (powered air purifying air respirator), whereas the guy on the the right presumably has an APR on. Can’t really tell from the photo.

A PAPR is MUCH more comfortable and less tiring to use, though also obviously more cumbersome.
