The report is in, and the review of the president’s foreign policy is clear: If there is not an immediate course-reversal, the United States is in serious danger.
In 2013, the United States Institute for Peace, “a congressionally-created, independent, nonpartisan institution whose mission is to prevent, mitigate, and resolve violent conflicts around the world,” was asked to assist the National Defense Panel with reviewing the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR). The National Defense Panel is a congressional-mandated bipartisan commission that’s co-chairs were appointed by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.
On July 31, the National Defense Panel released its long-awaited report on the effects of the QDR and delivered its findings to Congress. The panel pulled no punches—its findings were a scathing indictment of Obama’s foreign policy, national security policy, and defense policy. The panel found that president Barack Obama’s QDR, military force reductions, and trillion-dollar defense budget cuts are dangerous—and will leave the country in a position where it is unable to respond to threats to our nation’s security. If the Commander in Chief is incompetent and actually adheres to policies that are contrary to the well being and very notion of an American nation, it matters little what resources he has. For instance if you have the most efficient, dedicated and fully resourced border patrol, but you order them not to engage or pull back, they will be ineffective in sealing or defining a border.
I know there are tons of good people in highly populated areas. I also know FR servers (are still STUPIDLY) hosted in the Sacramento area.
Sorry folks. I can live without FR and YOU that live in those areas who are doing so at your own risk. Get away from population centers; make yourself less of a target. Depends on what he wants to use those “resources” for, of course.
It would be, well, interesting if “haters” attacked the FR servers. What kind of backups are kept, and where? This isn’t our fathers’ California.

It’s a fair assertion given the history of the socialist left. If the Black Book of Communism counted up to 100 million victims back in 1997, how many more must fall prey to the left’s bloodlust?

This, unfortunately, is deemed an appropriate mission statement for an organization advising on our military.
Why give the military more budget for this?
What the military needs to help it is: “An organization that advises on the various methods to attack and kill adversaries anywhere in the world that directly threaten US interests or those of our allies”
If the military’s mission is now to “prevent, mitigate and resolve conflicts” I’m pretty sure they don’t mean blowing stuff up and killing people, which is the reason why we need a military.
