Michelle Nunn: A Consultant’s Golem Coming for the Jews
Red State ^ | July 29, 2014 | Erick Erickson

A golem is a being of inanimate material magically given anthropomorphic abilities. Back when I was a political consultant I would tell candidates that they were lumps of clay to be molded. In a memo discovered by National Review, Michelle Nunn has all the makings of not being her own woman, but rather being a consultant’s golem.

Not only a golem, but one whose organization is related to funding for Hamas and now wants Jews to fund her political ambition. The campaign email is filled with great stereotypes. Nunn’s campaign wants gays, Asians, and Jews to fund it, but wants blacks and hispanics to be her grassroots base.

Note that she has to come up with a position on Israel. Her consultants list it as “TBD”, but note that the better the position, the more money she can generate.

That’s a Bush organization through which she supposedly made pro-Hamas donations, is it not?

Yes, founded by GHW Bush. But how much he’s had to do with it is completely unclear. It seems there are many questionable donations they made, not just to terrorist symps, but just for silly things. Like some “mountain bikers for peace”, which sounds like it could be right up there with Harry Reid’s “cowboy poetry” festivals.

“Can’t we all just get along?”

This plaintive question has the seeds of its own reasons for failure. People are looking for an “edge” at all times, consciously or unconsciously, to improve their own position in relation to others, and they will do it by exploiting the weaknesses of others, rather than by exerting additional initiative on their own part.

This is what has been termed “the crabs in a bucket effect”. Throw one crab in an uncovered bucket, and in mere moments, the crab will escape by levering itself up sufficiently far to pull itself over the top edge of the bucket. Put two crabs in the bucket, however, and each will pull the other back down into the bucket before either one has gained enough advantage to get over the top edge. Not only that, but if they should become sufficiently frenzied, they will take to tearing each other apart.

The limbic nervous system is intact and active in human beings, and in times of stress, it will overrule every other impulse.

Is Neil Bush not the current chairman?

Not to mention, since the demise of Helen Thomas, perhaps the homeliest woman currently walking the planet.
