Kim Jong Un may have ordered missile launch

North Korea launched a short-range ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan on Saturday. The launch came the day before the 61st anniversary of the Korean War armistice.

South Korean military officials say the North fired a Scud missile from around Ryongyon county in South Hwanghae Province on the western coast near the military demarcation line on Saturday night.

North Korean media on Sunday suggested the country's leader Kim Jong Un himself ordered the missile to be fired.

The official Korean Central News Agency reported that Kim directed a firing drill after checking on the deployment of US forces in South Korea and the North's rocket launch plan.

The Korean Worker's Party newspaper Rodong Sinmun carried a photo of Kim examining a map showing a missile flight path and its range, and another in which he is looking up at a launched missile.

The reports appear to be related to the launch on Saturday.

Sunday marks 61 years since the Korean War armistice agreement.

Analysts say the missile launch was intended as a warning to the United States and South Korea as well as to enhance the country's dignity.

North Korea did not notify other countries and airlines of this missle launch, as is the customary practice among civilized nations. But I'm not worried about the chaos that's erupting around the world. Obama will be closely monitoring developments on his Smartphone while he's on the golf course this afternoon.

It’s about time for him to pull something because he’s been out of the spotlight for too long.

No wonder that little feller is number Un. After all, having a short-range ballistic missile capable of hitting the Sea of Japan would enhance any country's dignity and cause his enemies to quake in fear...............

According to my map, the Sea of Japan is right next to North Korea.

Well then, it's even a greater feat than first perceived as he could have easily overshot it. Now that's what I call great marksmanship!!!

He took one look at what's in the White House and decided that he can do whatever the heck he wants.
