“Once again, this Council fails to address the situation in Israel and in the Palestinian territories with any semblance of balance. There is no mention of indiscriminate rocket attacks by Hamas into Israel or the tunnels used to cause mayhem.” It is good to see someone from the Obama Administration actually speaking the truth about Israel.

“U.N. launches probe into alleged Israeli crimes in Gaza,” by Stephanie Nebehay and Tom Miles, Reuters, July 23, 2014 (thanks to Kenneth):

GENEVA, July 23 (Reuters) – The United Nations on Wednesday launched an international inquiry into human rights violations and crimes that may have been committed by Israel during its military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The U.N. Human Rights Council condemned the Israeli assault which it said had involved “disproportionate and indiscriminate attacks”, including aerial bombing of civilian areas, collective punishment, and the killing of more than 650 Palestinians.

War Crimes??

You mean like harboring thousands of weapons, including rockets that target civilian populations, in an area that by the international treaty that created it, is supposed to be a DEMILITARIZED ZONE?

Those kind of war crimes?

The present UN at Auschwitz, 1945. Findings:

Those Jews needed showers because they smelled from being shipped in boxcars for days without being allowed to relieve themselves properly.

The Germans were only acting out of humanitarian concerns!

So Obama’s drone attacks that have killed 4 times as many should be considered war crimes now? Ah UN is becoming irrelevant

U.N. launches probe into alleged Israeli “war crimes” in Gaza

Totally misleading and self serving headline. A gross lie by omission.

The first thing I thought of was, "who would initiate such an accusation?
Then I found out.

At the end of an emergency session, the 47-member forum adopted , a resolution presented by Palestinians by a vote of 29 states in favor, 1 against (the United States) with 17 abstentions (including all nine European Union members).

Who are the members of the forum, who obviously can't see the difference between Muslim Mass Murderers deliberate random killing, and the results of Israeli defensive actions to stop the random rocket attacks.

Looks like I need to do a little more digging.
And see how much of my taxpayer money is given to these 29 states who voted in favor of the Hamas killers, presumably on the basis of moral equivalence with the Israeli defensive actions.

We don't need to provide any "humanitarian aid," or any aid at all, to countries which make it embarrassing to even use the word humanitarian.

It would appear that, given the membership of the "Human Rights" Council of the U.N., Israel doesn't have a chinaman's chance (can I say that?) of introducing resolution condemning the Hamas MMMs random murder attempts at Israeli territory, or tunnels used by common murderers to kill babies in their cradles.
Wait.
That's right, the "Palestinians" have never signed any "international laws" protocols.
