Jim Gilchrist — one of the founders of the Minutemen Project — said he’s reaching out across America to recruit at least 3,500 volunteers who will go to the border to patrol and cover the “porous areas” between San Diego and Brownsville, Texas.
The campaign is called “Operation Normandy,” and it’s set for May 1, 2015, Raw Story reported.
“If you are familiar with the Normandy invasion of France in 1944, then you have an idea how large and logistically complicated this event will be,” Mr. Gilchrist said, Raw Story reported. “However, there is one difference. We are not going to the border to invade anyone. We are going there to stop an invasion.”
Mr. Gilchrist insisted that the campaign should remain peaceful.
His No. 1 rule for participants, as posted on his Minuteman Project website: “Whatever you do, stay within the rule of law.”(continued)

Rather bizarre that he picked May 1 (communist high holiday), Normandy was a blood bath, and finally - if they are coming across at 10,000 per month - by May 1, 2015, everyone who is coming will already be here. I think.
It is confusing with the name, but in Normandy the Germans were the invaders and the US and British went there to restore the original order.

He is NOT doing any such thing. His whole operation is allegedly scheduled for a year out. Waiting a whole year? What good is it going to do then? Obama must be laughing at this guy. He's probably working for Obama. He is just sitting around raking in money under false pretenses. A real group needs to be started immediately and this guy's ass needs to be kicked to the curb.

Neither does Gilchrist, which is why he is trying to stem the tide of Nazi (aka Democrat) enablers into America. The name is slightly confusing, but the gist is that Overlord was meant to rescue a country, and what Gilchrist is trying to pull together is meant to rescue a country. So, Operation Normandy it is.
I don’t think/believe anyone is saying anything or implying any such thing as you apparently do. As a WWII vet with service in the Pacific and some free thinking I applaud any true USA citizen who is making an effort to change what has been going on at the border.

You've never heard of the Minutemen that Gilchrist helped to organize? (And no, I'm not talking about the Minutemen in the Revolutionary timeframe, so don't get your panties in a wad over that).

Stop the invasion with what; protest signs, bean bags? The “porous area” is in the Whitehouse but no one is willing to entertain the fact that this the most brilliant coup in history. Obama is using cargo vans and buses instead of tanks and artillary with stunning success. If anyone thinks this country will ever be restored to any semblance of its noble founding ideas without a real war is delusional and that seems to be what most Americans happen to be at this time. Sorry, keyboards and movements or even the voting process ain’t gonna fix this. It’s gone too far. We’ve been “transformed” and all but defeated by a mastermind(Obama could just be a front) that has used our own media, transport system and government resources to accomplish its ends. We will either succumb and abandon all hope of being America again or the majority will wake up and fight, literally and in the true sense of the word.
Unfortunately, the majority of Americans think that option is never going to become necessary.
