US President Barack Obama said on Thursday that Vladimir Putin's bored, tough guy act was just a 'shtick' designed to boost his domestic political image.
Obama and his Russian counterpart have become known for stilted photo ops during bilateral meetings at various global summits, in which they stare straight ahead and share little warmth or sympathetic body language.

Not a fan of Putin but — who can blame him for not wanting to be touchy feely with the fruity Kenyan.
Tell that to Ukraine. I'm almost certain they will not agree.
I just read the Slate article. They even mentioned that Palin accurately predicted Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine. Just wow.
Obama hates the three Cs:
#1: True, classical CHRISTIANITY,
#2: The CONSTITUTION, and
#3: Free market CAPITALISM
Exactly - projecting himself onto Putin. I think pretty much everything we see from him is just a shtick to zero.
Just another example of Obama foolishly thinking that he is the smartest guy in the room, even though all evidence points to the opposite.

One of the inherent weaknesses in human nature is that people tend to ascribe their own virtues to others. Obama is a pretender who lacks the knowledge, skills and proven experience required to lead any large organization – let alone the world’s most powerful nation. As a pretender, Obama believes that other world leaders are also merely playing at their roles and stumbling along just like him. The potential for a catastrophic miscalculation is very real.

In cowboy parlance, “this Obama guy doesn’t ride for the brand...” So why pay any attention to what he says!
I guess he learned that it wasn’t all stick.
I haven’t hear it pointed out how wrong an assessment Obama made of his adversary.

More importantly it seems, based on current events, Putin has gotten his assessment of the Coyote-in-Chief Obama RIGHT: weak, wuss, timid, coward, all big talk & self aggrandizement - no action.

If anyone knows about “schtick”, it’s the Grand Kenyan.
Obama went on to share that one of the tricks he learned in dealing with whites was that if you were “courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves” people were “more than satisfied” and “relieved” to find “such a pleasant surprise” in a “well-mannered young black man,” one who “didn’t seem angry all the time.”
Acting like a jackass doofus is Obama’s schtick. Or maybe that is the real thing.
