Teenage Girls Go Gaga for (Republican Representative) Michael Grimm

A group of teenage girls are apparently gaga for Rep. Michael Grimm, according to a series of Twitter posts ahead of a Sweet Sixteen birthday bash attended by the embattled New York Republican.

Grimm was one of the guests at the birthday festivities last weekend, according to Business Insider. In tweets captured by the news website, a gaggle of teens appear to be excited about the prospect of the congressman attending the shindig.

“I’m gonna dance with him all night and make him fall in love with me,” one of the messages, which have been deleted, said. Another Twitter user remarked, “Now I have to wear nice underwear.”

Grimm’s office told Business Insider that the lawmaker, 44, has a personal relationship with the family behind the party and “was invited by the parents to attend and wish their daughter a happy birthday.”

The identities of all the teens are redacted in the report. In one of the since-deleted tweets, a teen reportedly wrote, “He told me he’s taking me to prom I was like you fricking better.”

Grimm, a former FBI agent, was indicted in April on 20 federal criminal counts, ranging from mail and tax fraud to perjury. National Republicans have all but abandoned his bid, and he faces an uphill reelection fight in his swing Staten Island-based district against former New York City Councilman Domenic Recchia (D).

I do not see where their thrill is coming from. He is not attractive in the least.

These were all friends of the family. The Rep has a sort of dubious past, but then again, he is from Staten Island, where everybody has a dubious past.

I once worked with a girl from Staten Island who was always showing us pictures of stuff she had gotten for her house...things that fell off a truck...and one of my coworkers said to her, “****, Michelle, is there anything legal in your house?”

Barf. The Bubble-Head “oh I think he’s so cute” crowd. Same crap I heard all over U-M campus when Da One was campaigning back in ‘08. Besides, Grimm looks a little light in the loafers, IMO - combo of John Travolta and Ricky Nelson.

Teenage girls. Too bad they are Republicans. If they were Democrats they would be eligible to vote. This is because age is not a restriction for Dems. Some of them have been voting for well over 100 years.

This adult “freaking better” keep his hands to himself, his pants zipped and have a chaperone in attendance at all times. Better yet, don’t go to anymore teen parties or proms.

I think he looks like a cross between Johnny Depp and Robert DeNiro.

Is that the Congressman? Kinda looks like Channing Tatum, in which case I could understand teenage girls going gaga.

Indeed. In other photos, he very much does not even look remotely like Channing Tatum.

I guess the photographer got a one in a million shot with the pic I commented on.

Yes, that’s him.

Reminds me of Scott Peterson (the creep who killed his pregnant wife and dumped her in the ocean).
