First quarter sales in 2014 fell 11% at Simon & Schuster, to $153 million, but operating income rose to $11 million from $10 million in the first quarter of 2013, parent company CBS reported.

And then there is the new Hillary Clinton book due out in the middle of June. "It's a great book," Reidy said, adding that she hopes Hard Choices will drive consumers into stores. Perhaps with the promotion planned for the Clinton book on her mind, Reidy said she is sure marketing costs, and sales, will be higher for the rest of the year than in the quarter.

Simon and Schuster's 2nd Quarter earning report will be out in less than 4 weeks. Let's hope Simon and Schuster and CBS doesn't mislead their investors as to massive scale of the financial losses that will be due to Hillary's book flop. They will be material losses and will wipe out a quarter's worth of earnings.

She’s back. I thought her book tour was over a week ago in Berlin but she’s starting again Thurs. I don’t know much about book tours but I don’t think that an almost two week break in one is a good thing if you want to sell books. Of course Simon and Schuster got hosed but was a willing “victim.”

It’s all about the upcoming Simon and Schuster write-off and layoffs.

She’s preparing to blame Simon and Schuster for her flop and needs to be able to say “Hey, I didn’t quit on trying to promote it.”

I forsee a last minute rescue of Hill’s dismal book sales. Remember a left wing author who penned some manure that no one but the Feds would buy and then paid big bucks to a crony of the Clinton’s to store them. Happened during the Clinton years and I think Newt alerted us to it. If my memory is correct, it may not be I am getting older.

I have to say that Hillary's book is an unmitigated success.
She got $14,000,000 and CBS through Simon & Schuster got access to the the White Hut. Either through Hillary ‘winning’ the Presidency or through BillyJeff as a former POTUS and Democrat demigod.

Her book has always been a means of laundering bribe money to the Clinton’s. She’s starting to show some money now. People are going to wonder where that money came from. Money leaves a trail.

“Well, I did make sixteen million dollars from my book, after all.”

S&S Rejected Bergdahl Book Because It Might Hurt Obama

And always remember, S&S was the publisher that gave Jim Jeffords a gigantic "advance " (bribe) for a book no one read in return for switching parties.
