Meanwhile, the only one we have who is willing to come out and tell it like it is at any cost, who is fearless, yet probably unelectable due to too many stupid voters,Sarah Palin, remains largely ignored.

Morning AB, All....

.....So today is my cooking day as most of you might know. I have some shrimp out to thaw as they make a great little dish with some cocktail sauce. I find that with just feeding myself I am having to adjust all my quantities, indeed even my choices as cooking for beloved husband was very different than preparing meals just for me.

Beloved deceased husband would never, for example, eat shrimp of any kind. He’s born in Indiana and those folks think seafood is immoral.

Gerald, the black and white cat who always helps me cook, however, considers shrimp quite the delicacy and so I must cover, and hide and watch the shrimp as I drain it in a colander that hooks over my sink.

Well Gerald, despite the cutting board and kitchen items piled on top of it spends many minutes pondering how to get to the draining shrimp and next thing I hear crashes and falls and the sound of tinkling metal.

Gerald begins to MEOW very loudly and as I rush to see what the hell I note Gerald is trying to get his paw out of something, there are utensils all over the floor and shrimp are everywhere.

Somehow Gerald got his CLAW stuck in one of the little colander holes and folks, it was agony and screaming, both human and cat, as I tried to wrest his claw out of that little hole.

I might need to obtain some type O blood but I did get Gerald’s claw out of the hole.

He was on his last legs, life was ebbing from him, only the shrimp could save him. Psssst, what’s one claw when you got a big pile of shrimp?

Thank you AB for doing this thread every week and big this week I suspect will be that border problem.

If ever there was a ham-handed move by a Presidents it’s this one. Most Americans didn’t even know about this onslaught at the border and it would have been better to not to show it for all of the country to see.

We understand fences and locks out here in la-la land and I think one of the more revealing glimpses this past week was that video that went viral of that black woman ranting about all this.

AND SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

She said it all even better than I could.

True—and good morning to ya buddy— but then how do you classify rinos who are just as opposed to closing the border as are communist dems?

I wish I had the link that shows all the accomplishments by Jewish people vs. all the accomplishments by muzzies, its not even close. Take away their oil and they would be goat herders all over the desert.
By the way I am not Jewish but do realize true intellect when I run across it.
I just don’t see it by brainwashed minions whose greatest accomplishment is to cut off the head of an infidel.

Perry is talking out of both sides of his mouth: we gotta take care of the kids already here, but we need to send a message to the CA countries.

[Similary to what Graham advocates: we need to give Obama a blank check to deal with this kids, but we need to stop of the flow of kids.]

...in the Spring of 2015 we can start pissing on each other for who is the better “REPUBLICAN” presidential candidate.

Bwahahaha! Like anyone on this site is going to wait for Spring to do THAT!

All I ask as we go through another election cycle is folks keep it civil here and not try to get people they disagree with banned. It is the one thing I have really felt the management has been wrong on, and I've seen too many friends and sharp minds on this thread even, who would otherwise be with us today, fall to that kind of Bolshevik political correctness. If I actually named names of those who used to post here, I think most would agree. I disagree with some things that are said, but also am mature enough to understand not everyone HAS to agree with me.

Hume does point out that the border agents are relatively neutralized in actually defending the border, as they are now babysitting the flow of kids.

Good morning and good question.

I’ll take a RINO over a Democrat any day. At least with the RINO’s we have a possibility to move them to the right using conservative logic. No such opportunity exists with Democrats and there is no way the Democrat leadership will ever be acceptable.

If it takes a RINO to win in New Jersey, fine. Christie is better than any Democrat. If our RINO class wants a Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney, fine for their state. BUT, not nationally and not representing the Republican conservative base.

We can work with a Republican liberal on some issues but it’s impossible to work with progressive Democrats on every issue.

Michael McCaul (R-TX) is not very impressive on this issue. He is mixing the emotional ‘for the children’ mantra with needs to change existing laws.

We need new laws to deal with the humanitarian crisis. We don’t want large human care warehouses. We need to act on the crisis soon. We need to treat Mexican and OTM children the same. Yada yada yada.

ProObama, and Hyperliberal Brit Hume takes the chair
at FOX.

At intro:
Hume starts with that Israel attacked Gaza and IGNORES the cause.
Then, Hume claims the S. Border is a crisis and IGNORES the cause.

Acting like a fool, Hume interviews Gov. Perry,
and he actually “wonders” before Gov. Perry what the Border Patrol
might do? Perry correctly notes the Border Patrol has retreated
by 40 miles, and even the appearance of LEO would be beneficial.
Perry clearly defines the problems with the Border.

In response, Lib Hume ignores it and claims the Border Patrol
is useless, and again Perry rebuts him,
but he is ignored.

Ignoring the obvious, Hume: “If (the children) have
gotten this far, (why would they) be deterred by (armed) troops?”

Perry again answers, and points out that we MUST
“staunch the bleeding .... It is the most humanitarian
thing we can do”. Again, Perry points out that
some of the LEO can arrest, and proObama Hume says they cannot.

So, trying to change the subject and ignoring this,
Hume takes Obama’s side regarding something
Obama said after the Texas visit, blaming Perry.
Hume: “Will you pressure the Texas delegation”

Perry acts Presidential and focuses the issue
again; and says that Obama should have gone to the border.

Again, Hume takes the side of Obama, while calling
the narcoterrorists, criminal illegals and
infected mules as the “children” over and over,
and says they must be “cared for by the government”.
{No mention made of the concentration camps closed
to Congress and journalists, and the gagging of
doctors and nurses, and secret transport to 57 states}.

Gov. Perry: “That Law must be changed.
(Congress) understands that; (but ....)
To staunch the flow you do not need a change of law.”

Bottom line:
Gov. Rick Perry did great, explaining the problem in
detail, and demanding “boots on the ground” such
as “There should be National Guard troops on the border.”

Hume protects Obama in every conversation and ignores
the diseases, conspiracies, coverup, terrorists,
doctor-gagging, nurse-gagging, and
Congressional-wall off.
By implication, Lib Hume and FOX News continue
to be a Obama/Romney channel.

It used to be that the Northeast was all liberal to moderates at the most rightward of the spectrum. So democrats up there were naturally liberal, and Republicans there were what a conservative would call a liberal or at best wishy-washy...

Down here in the South, we actually had loads of conservative democrats, who were much more conservative than even the Republicans of the Northeast. Southern conservative senators like James Hill, John Sparkman, Herman Tallmadge, Sam Nunn, Sam Ervin, Strom Thurmond, John Stennis, Russell Long, etc. All democrats, but decidedly NOT liberals.

I can think of a ton of Northeast liberal Republicans Senators: Prescott Bush, Henry Cabot Lodge, Jacob Javits, Lowell Weicker, Edward Brooke, George Aiken, Everett Dirksen, Nelson Rockerfeller, Margeret Chase Smith, and a host of other RINOs as we know them today.

The thing is that in our lifetime the American political party system went from regional to ideological in a 40 year time span, say 1960-2000.

The point I’d have fro anyone is this: Let the Northeast do their thing, even if it means RINOs, because the voters there just won’t EVER vote for our type of conservative.

Conservatives should concentrate on getting as many like minded people elected in those regions where that philosophy has always held sway; the South and the West. Accept the RINOs as ideological inferiors but whose numbers allow our more conservative party stalwarts to hold and wield power.

Too bad some think that always being on the outside looking in is more pure than winning and getting much of your agenda accomplished, or, in the worst case, like now, or at least 2008-2010, see the Left triumph legislatively. That and Supreme Court justices will hurt us for decades to come.

In terms of the OTM "children" entering the country, more troops on the border accomplishes nothing except increase the size of the welcoming committee. We need more troops to enforce the border to stop adults, drug smugglers, and terrorists. The border is a sieve.

The 2008 law must be changed immediately. Obama's backdoor Dreamer amnesty of 2012 set the stage for what is happening now.

After listening to McCaul who is pushing his bill, this says to me that this is all orchestrated by both parties. McCaul's bill is a bad one. It is a Trojan Horse for comprehensive immigration reform. The bill links border security to legalization of the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. It is a packaged deal.
