The Russkies aren’t going to invade Ukraine, that much is clear. They were threatening this even on the 3rd and 4th of July before Strelkov fled, leaking to Ukrainian sources and media that Putin was going to invade within “48 hours” due to Ukraine’s “aggression” against the separatists.

Every so often the Russkies move their forces to the border, then remove them, then bring them back again, putting over the Ukrainians the specter of invasion. It is all just empty intimidation. The Russian vehicles were marked with “peacekeeper” slogans for months now.

The Russkies operate using provocation and unmarked military, and are dependent on the weakness and cowardice of their victims to succeed, which has always been the case with the gutless but mass murdering communists. When they are faced with an opponent that doesn’t react to terror, their strategy starts to collapse.

“As soon as I saw the pictures I thought of The Road to Basra”

More like underestimating the capabilities of your enemies. They obviously didn’t take into account Rebel artillery.

If, as is now being reported, the “Donetsk Pocket” is now CLOSED, and Two full UK brigades, plus several Militia battalions, are now trapped along the Russian border, this could be a huge problem for Kiev.

The just don’t have the air resupply capability to support them. Hell, they can barely resupply the two airport garrisons.

A War-time wedding in Donetsk yesterday.

Such a sweet and tender moment during war.

Here's another.

June 1943 A German officer (Henry Pupè) marries a young upper class German girl (Karin Flippgen) in Dresden.

(Unbelievable.)

From RT’s Live Blog:

16:02 GMT:

Ukrainian military planes bombed the town of Dzerzhinsk in the Donetsk region, Donetsk People’s Republic headquarters told Ria Novosti on Friday. The military hit a cemetery, fragments hit a transformer pillar and a gas pipeline - the town is partially without electricity. There have been no reports of injuries so far in the town, which is a stronghold and mustering point for the self-defense forces.

15:13 GMT:

At least 30 Ukrainian military were killed in shellfire on their convoy near Zelenopolye settlement in the Lugansk region on Friday morning, said the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs. As Donetsk People’s Republic headquarters report, a Ukrainian mechanized infantry brigade was attacked by a ‘Grad’ unit, and “was defeated.” The Defense Ministry press service confirms the deaths of only 19 soldiers.

14:32 GMT:

Self-defense forces downed a military aircraft on Friday near the town of Perevalsk, in the eastern Ukaine’s Lugansk region. It was supposedly an attack plane, a spokesperson for the Lugansk People’s Republic said.

14:05 GMT:

Six Ukrainian military and one border guard were killed, and five soldiers were injured in the intensifying clashes along the Russian-Ukrainian border, the Ukrainian State Border Service announced. According to the statement, “the epicenter of the tense standoff reached the state border line today.”

12:35 GMT:

Staff at the Russian ‘Gukovo’ border checkpoint were evacuated twice on Friday because of shooting and shell bursts on Ukrainian territory, said Russia’s Southern Customs Administration’s spokesman. “At the moment the employees have once again been removed as far as nearly one kilometer away,” he added. The checkpoint is closed, and the bus terminal building, where the customs officers were operating, was damaged in previous Ukrainian shelling.

09:31 GMT:

The area near the military facilities of Lugansk self-defense forces, eastern Ukraine, is being shelled, local witnesses told ITAR TASS.

Smoke is reportedly seen in the area and the ambulances have already headed to the scene. Lugansk self-defense troops control the area and warn local residents of the danger of shelling.

VIDEO: Rebels blow up a bridge on the "Gorlovka-Dzerzhinsk" road, to prevent UK Vehicles from passing it. I think they used a bit too much explosive.....

Poroshenko has stated for every Ukraine Soldier killed they will take out 100 of the rebels.

I believe he will go to any extreme to force Donbass to subject to him.

My gosh the degree of destruction and death Poroshenko has caused looks like Tornado's went through the entire area. Debris and death everywhere!

Can’t overreact to the highs or the lows. One day is good, next is bad, plus we don’t see the whole picture.

Very true....
A lot more is going on in Kiev than we know about, as well.
