Texas Governor Rick Perry toured the U.S.-Mexico border today without President Barack Obama, who ultimately decided to return to Washington, D.C. this afternoon after making a pit stop for BBQ in Austin. Perry's office says he took a boat ride down the Rio Grande river and a chopper tour of the Rio Grande Valley with the Texas Department of Public Safety this afternoon. Meanwhile, President Obama spoke at a Democratic Party fundraiser, met with someone who wrote him a letter and gave remarks on the economy before stopping by Franklin Barbeque, where he dropped more than $300 on food for his staff and people he cut in line.

You know, I can’t help but feel that RIck Perry detests Obama. He says all the PC things, but his facial expressions tell a different story.

He's easy to detest. I can't even stand to hear him speak.

It’s a shame he didn’t choke on his BBQ. Or that someone didn’t “season” his meat. No, I don’t mean Reggie....

I offered to pay the meal for the people who he cut in front of line, and then found out he did not have enough money, so he mooched off one of his flunkies to pay the bill.

There’s an analogy in there, hmm?

Zzzzzzz. Do your job, Perry.

YOU can stop this invasion, Governor.

Calling on the federal govt to deploy the National Guard when you posses the power to deploy your State Guard does not absolve of your duty. Neither does touring the border.

Read 140 and other posts throughout

Texas is using Texas money to do what the federal government is suppose to, including recently adding $1.3 million per week to help border patrol. I hear everyone saying Texas secure your borders but I don’t hear anyone saying our state will help pay for it, this can not be put on the shoulders of the southern border state tax payers, it is a federal responsibility first.

********* I knew this useless Muzzzie would stop there. Franklin is new and crowded. Always a line outside until they run out of BBQ. It is semi-outdoors so is a security problem.. Eating there is 0bunghole showing how cool and hip he is.

“Surprise visit”...right. Translation: Preplanned photo op, coordinated, organized, and dry runned weeks in advance. Everything about Obama is phony.

Good points...

Lots of whining and posturing from Perry...but takes no action

Of course, Perry had no problem with opening the border with the North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway
Perry is, and always has been, an Open Borders liberal
