The story does not seem to have made the Seattle Times website, unless it’s buried somewhere. But if a Republican city clerk in Haystack, Nebraska, made an anti-gay slur, it would probably be there.

Wasn’t Wednesday National Chocolate Day? How appropriate that he was sentenced on that very day!!!

I did not realize he left Chocolate City and Louisiana after he left office. If I knew (or cared), I forgot.

CHOCOLATE MAYOR SENTENCED FOR CORRUPTION

Lest jujube thinking the sentence was too tough, let me say that cocoa-bird Kagin got his just desserts. The judge didn't truffle around and gave him ten years.

Despite the former mayor's denials, stonewalling and fudging around during the trial, he's now on his way to the federal Chocolate Bar Hotel where all jawbreakers like he belong.

When he leaves for prison it's too bad I can't be there to wave bon bon and throw him some candy kisses.

Nagin is a black Democrat. Isn’t it racist to sentence him? /sarc

He committed the ultimate sin. He crossed the Landreau family.

No wonder the school buses didn’t roll. He was on the phone accepting bribes.

The Feds have the resources to keep their prisoners locked up for the full term.

it's not about resources. the (clinton appointed) judge cut him a massive break today. the prosecutors objected when the sentence was handed down, and have already mentioned appealing the sentence.

Any Black riots so far, for either of these guys? Or are Blacks in this country able to recognize the difference between a Black martyr and a run-of-the-mill, two-bit crook getting what he deserves - regardless of race?

No rioting. Most people in Detroit knew Kwame was a crook and were pleased to see him gone. The day Kwame was sentenced a plane was towing a sign around "wishing him well".

The school buses didn’t roll because Phillis Landreau was on the school board ( president iirc) and made sure they weren’t allowed to be used. Check out the local paper (Picceune)
There were several articles before Katrina hit on the HUD fraud going on in the ninth district. Seems papa Landreau who started HUD under Carter taught the locals how to get rich using it and it was all about to explode. With the flooding of NOLA it all became moot. Coincidence ;-)
The fight between the Landreau s and the mayor was in full swing when the hurricane hit-— the chocolate man wouldn’t stay in his place!
Reading those articles were very enlightening They’re logged on FR somewhere but can’t remember the keyword I used

Did anyone out side of NO even know he was on trial? I am in Houston and I certainly missed it.

He’s about to discover what a chocolate city is really like. Very much. There will be plenty of fudge-packers ready.

lol

I wonder if the fear-mongering over Black riots is really just a way to keep whites THINKING that Obama is untouchable.

When people know that somebody is a crook they won’t riot for them. The key to Obama’s coup was threatening the media so people wouldn’t see the proof that Obama and his handlers are crooks.

Congress should tell Obama if he wants money to provide everything for the illegals he’s brought in, he needs to take it out of EBT card/welfare funds. There’s only so much money to go around for “welfare” so it has to be divided between however many people say they need it...

Just like the available JOBS have to be divided up between the people who need them...
