Vanity/Question to the Board: Can Obama speak Farsi/Arabic?
Vanity (and a question for more resourceful types) | 7/7/2014 | RinaseaofDs

One thing that normally comes up in elections is whether the candidate can speak another language. W could speak some Spanish, and he gave some speeches in Spanish.

Obama went to madrass' in Indonesia. I'd wager that he may not have learned Islam from English speakers.

Can he communicate in Farsi or Arabic? Anybody know that?

He can recite some Arabic prayers (call to prayer, for instance). I don’t know if he can speak either language, however. Can he do anything without a teleprompter?

LOL you nailed it.
Only in the minds of the MSM is Caliph Baraq an accomplished speaker.
Off the prompter he’s a stumbling bumbling dufus.

Maybe English isn’t his first language.

Are you assuming English is his first language?

He probably speaks some Indonesian (whatever their language is called) and maybe the language they speak in Pockeestahn. He probably knows all the Farsi swear words from his boss.

The Quran has 6666 verses in it (surahs). The curriculum in a madras is engineered around the complete memorization of all of them.

The Bible used to be used in English lit classes in the US for a long time. Two birds, one stone, as it were.

I believe that madras’ use the Quran as a primer for learning Arabic or Farsi.

As someone noted, he is probably familiar with at least some Arabic having spent some time in Muslim Indonesia. Farsi, or Persian, is not related in any way to Arabic (although they do use the same alphabet). I cannot think of any reason why Obama would know any Farsi.

“He can speak farce. Not sure about Farsi”

Best (truest) reply on the thread I think :-)

Actually surahs are chapters, not verses. There are 114 surahs in the Qur’an. There are a total of 6236 verses in the Qur’an, but that number can vary depending on whether or not the bismillahs are counted. I think there are only 114 bismillahs - one per surah.

Perhaps, with 21st century technology, he is able to speak not only Nearsi but Farsi

Obama attended two schools in Indonesia. The first one was a Catholic school, Francis of Assisi Primary, the second, Besuki Primary School, an Indonesian state school where children were given religious instruction based upon whatever religion they were registered as. In his case, he was registered as a Muslim, and learned to recite the Koran in Arabic. However, he did not actually attend a madrassa where the only curriculum is Koranic studies.

I am guessing he still speaks some Arabic, and Bahasa Indonesia, the primary language of Indonesia.

Well, we know he can speak with a forked tongue, speak lies, speak untruth, speak double-speak, speak evil, speak hate, speak racism, speak gay, speak unpatriotic, speak to his unbelievably disgusting wife whom Joan Rivers says was once a man, speak golf during a national crisis, speak to his corrupt Secret Service thugs, and speak from a reprobate mind.

Farsi?

Arabic?

If he can, then he can speak all of the above in three languages.

______________

Don’t know about Farsi, but it is used as an Arabic primer; the only downside is that Koranic Arabic is basically high Arabic, somewhat analogous to Shakespearean English, and no one speaks that anymore, so using the Koran to learn modern Arabic would be like using the KJV Bible to learn modern English.

Well, you made the same comment I made, and more quickly, so I’m sure you’re an intellectual genius. I’m convinced!
