Vice President Biden is doing everything he can to make sure people don’t forget that it’s not just Hillary Clinton who has an interest in the White House in 2016. He does, too.
After Clinton struggled to contain criticism of her lofty personal finances, there was Biden last week, highlighting his every-man status.

I actually saw a “Biden 2016” bumper sticker this morning. I was shocked until I got closer and read the fine print on the bottom that said, “Stupid is as stupid does.”
Whether they like it or not, Vice Presidents who run for president are invariably tied to their president. Mondale was tied to the feckless Jimmy Carter. Gore suffered from Clinton (even as he sought to distance himself from him). Nixon gained from the popular Eisenhower, and nearly won (eventually, he DID win). George Bush won because of the great Ronald Reagan. Biden will not be able to shake the disaster that is Barack Obama. For that matter, Hillary may have problems doing that too. Biden has as much a chance to become president as do my collection of toe nail clippings.
It’s gonna be very hard to out-stupid Obama but then Biden is a world class contender.
