Pick a candidate you can believe in and think is truthful and donate directly. Honestly, I don’t even think most of the Tea Party associated groups are what I’d call ideologically true with their finances. IOW, there is a heck of a rake off in $ to the road. IMO, Club for Growth has the best admin rakeoff, but I am not telling you to give them money. Go for the candidate and your ideals that match his/hers.

Direct to candidates is good - but I think Senate Conservative Fund is pretty solid. Stay away from Judson Phillips group and Jenny Beth Martins groups - they do nothing but hoard the money to themselves.

Send it to the proper candidate that you wish to be supported!

I understand send $$$ directly to candidate of choice which has been my practice as of late BUT also a Super PAC to lobby Congress for our causes is also important.

The GOP leadership didn’t help Allen West either

One of the facts about the Tea Party is that it’s only “grass roots” and not like the political parties. So ... in terms of issues that resonate with the Tea Party people, you’re not going to find such a thing. I’ve been told many times here on Free Republic that the “Tea Party” is not a party, but just a bunch of people who vote their way.

I sort of think you’re not going to find that, according to “this understanding” of the “Tea Party”.

Definitely I trust them; their mission really is to elect conservative candidates; you can donate to the fund and put on your ck. the name of the candidate you wish the money to go to; they do get the money to that candidate.

I would donate to the best qualified conservative in your state that is running. If conservatives do that, we are getting the best bang for the buck with direct contributions.

This Mississippi primary showed that the grasping incumbent is a bigger threat than just the moderate Republican. I can live with a Susan Collins in that state — its not my state and she gets elected. I can live with a Rand Paul in KY — I don’t live there. That is what that electorate wanted and got.

But, in my state (recently) I have too many AZ glamour boys starting with McCain and Flake. We need some serious people not just lifelong pols looking to spend a life in Congress.

But I live in Minnesota. A State Rep is as local I can get to a conservative politician.

That is where it has to start then.

You can however look at the House candidates and pick the one that will give the best results if elected by defeating a Dem.

We have these glamorous candidates that are wanting National dollars — don’t give into that unless you have money to burn. Ted Cruz needs no more money in TX right now. Let’s concentrate on the next Congress.

Last time I gave was the 2012 Presidential elections. First gave to Herman Cain, but he ran away. Gave to Newt but be folded. Many of the Tea Party wins went to DC and flip plopped. It’s so hard to judge.

.

As much as I respect some of the Tea Party groups ...

and I finacially donate on a regular (monthly) basis ...

I REFUSE to send them money to support specific candidates.

A quick internet visit to a candidates website is best for donations.

I know McFadden is hardly a conservative icon, but if he is aware that he is getting Conservative dollars, isn’t he going to be a lot better than Franken?

Should McFadden have a feeling that he gets no conservative support after winning the nomination, and ignore your concerns in the General election and if somehow he wins?

Did give to Allen West to get a recount but that never happened.

There is no such thing as a candidate you can believe in, only a candidate you have control over. The politician you have control over is working for you, all others are working for someone else, which means against you.

You’ll want a small group of dedicated power-grabbers who want to work together, behind-the-scenes to take control your county/local politics.

Not a political group per se, but a group of business owners, professionals, etc., who want to not just “have an effect” on local politics, but actually take it over, pulling the strings behind both the Dem and Repub machines.

Your group will want two publicly-known political fronts, one a faction within the Repubs, the other one a faction within the Dems. While the fronts will be publicly known, your group will want to stay secret. You’ll want a hierarchical organization with a small committee at the top to call the shots.

Your plans will have to be gradual, and include being able to change local puplic opinion. Without that, you can’t really rule behind-the-scenes.

You’ll want a few lawyers in your group, and a few political types who will be loyal to your group and, though they are presently Pubbies or Dems, will actually be minions working for your group. You’ll want a few fundraising types who can squeeze contributions and backing out of wealthy folks. You’ll want a few grassroots organizer types in your group.

Your group will then pick nice young people who are not in politics that might be able to one day be nice political puppets: loyal to you and able to learn how to play politics. To ensure that you have good control over your puppets, you’ll need to develop a powerful mental hold over them by having “the goods” on them. The more corrupted they are, the better control you’ll have.

Your small merry band of puppetmasters will gradually get more and more of their own puppets elected and one day will be calling the shots in your area. That’s the only group worth spending money and time on and the only way to avoid government working against you and have government working for you.

Club for Growth is just another front, like all the Dem and Repub fronts. They have no moral stance based on the Bible, just a push to allow elitest free trade to do whatever it wants, holding that out as a mysterious “carrot” which will bring “prosperity”. In truth, their programs do bring prosperity, but it’s prosperity for the elites. Any prosperity of the sheeple is just incidental and temporary as far as elites are concerned, but they’ll never admit that.

I support the candidate running for a local office that rings my doorbell and comes in to give me his/her pitch and answers my questions favorably. I also attend town hall meetings and phone townhalls. The last time I supported the GOP or any other national political organization financially was when John McCraven named Sarah Palin as his running mate and we know how that worked out.

Support your chosen candidates directly, not PACs.
