‘I’M AN A-HOLE’: Gary Oldman Apologizes To Hollywood For Being Brutally Honest
Clash Daily ^ | 6/26/14

If Oldman would’ve slammed white Christians or conservatives he would been given an Oscar but alas … he offended the wrong crowd … and now, he grovels at their feet. Check it out. Here is some of the transcript via Today.com

“I have deeply injured and wounded a great many people.” “From my heart, I am profoundly, profoundly sorry and deeply apologetic, especially to the fans because they’ve been so incredible to me and very loyal. … They’re like Team Oldman.” “I’m a public figure. I should be an example and an inspiration. And I’m an a——. I’m 56 and I should know better!” “I stepped out of my area of expertise and I just landed both feet in a hornet’s nest.”

I’m not angry at Oldman. I’m simply sad, maybe even depressed at how oppressive our society has become.

Opie and Anthony do a bit to see how long they can go before a celebrity has to apologize.

I am sure they went after him.

My wife said she felt sad for him. (She had read the original article a few days ago and was reading it to me and the kids, often times stopping skipping parts of the quotes with an “oh - I can’t read that”.

I don’t care for the vulgar language, even though I’ll think it in my head. But I wouldn’t say that to a friend I’m disagreeing with.

Like I told my wife, I don’t feel sad for him. If you’re going to give an interview (as opposed to a hidden tape), saw what you mean and mean what you say. No apologies. And maybe be a little more refined in your language. Although it WAS for Playboy, so I imagine the interviewer may be using some colorful language as well, and perhaps goading them along.

Agent probably broke the news that he would be banished to low budget indy film's and that financial impact if he didn't align lockstep with the socialist Hollywood agenda.

Pathetic POS's.

I give up. What did he say that he’s now apologizing for?

From Wikipedia:
Under some systems of communism, party
members who had fallen out of favour with
the political elite were sometimes forced to
undergo “self-criticism” sessions, producing
either written or verbal statements detailing
how they had been ideologically mistaken,
and affirming their new belief in the party
line. Self-criticism, however, did not
guarantee political rehabilitation , and often
offenders were still expelled from the Party,
or in some cases even executed.

Google it and read the Page-Six or Variety write-ups on it. Basically giving very specific F-bombed versions of descriptions of Nancy Pelosi, hypocracy of PC and Hollywood re treatment of Mel Gibson & Alec Baldwin compared to Jon Stewart/Bill Maher.

Funniest thing I read in Page-Six article is that ‘Doug Urbanski’ is Oldman’s manager and co-producer. I think it’s THE Doug Urbanski that subs for Rush. He’s mentioned he’s a Hollywood producer. Maybe why Oldman speaks with unvarnished frankness.
