Ohio AG DeWine washes hands of responsibility to address ‘double tapping’ cops

The office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine evidently doesn't care that police who are ignorant or contemptuous of the law pose a well-documented danger to open carriers.

The office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has responded to Gun Rights Examiner’s concerns that police comments about “double tapping” open carriers show a dangerous disregard for state law, and unsurprisingly, has decided to do nothing about it other than have a proxy deny responsibility and punt the ball to state representatives.

“He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.”

What's really annoying is the way the militarized police have been set up as "untouchables".

Even King George's men didn't have that luxury.

It might mean nothing but asinine jest, but today you can never tell.

DeWine is quick to run to the microphones. Seems to be running for Governor in 2018. He was a failed US Senator. Caught him sleeping in televised committee hearings. He is charged with investigating hot cases when locals think they are too hot to handle. Trouble is DeWine also chickens out and covers up, especially when it is a dirty cop killing an innocent civilian. Nothing but delay and then nothing (crickets).

DeWine is a weasel and a coward.

So, he's a prototypical politician, more or less.

I’d say DeWine is “more” of a hypocrite because he openly begs to handle the hot crimes and then when presented with them he buried them and covers up for his chums who might help him win the Governor’s race (such as the police unions). Sickening and despicable.

Ya know, if I were the Guv, by now I’d have made at least one speech expressing my grave concern with the repercussions of any cop making a statement about assassinating citizens for exercising their Constitutional rights. Because such actions and statements could quickly escalate into a series of retaliatory strikes on law enforcement.

If I were the Guv, I’d make it very clear that I’m very concerned.

Some police might be surprised at the expertise of some of these open carriers. They might be far more capable with their weapons that the officers.
