Rep. Raul Labrador said Tuesday that he is gaining momentum in his campaign to become the next House Majority leader and “close” to securing the votes he need to win the post.

“A lot of people are switching their votes, and they are really excited about having somebody challenge the establishment right now,” Mr. Labrador, Idaho Republican, said on “Fox and Friends.”

“It is important for us to show that we need a new direction in the party.”

Asked whether he is nearing the 218 votes needed to win the job, Mr. Labrador said, “We’re close.”

I hope so. Even a member of ISIS would be preferable to McCarthy

Done. When I spoke with the idiot who takes calls for him it was pretty clear he had never even heard of Raul Labrador. I told him that if his boss voted for Kevin McCarthy, I was going to vote for the democrat and then run for his seat in 2016.

Wow, I can’t top that. Good job.

Both Labrador and McCarthy are pro-amnesty. Labrador is somewhat more grudging in his support, but that support is still there. Either one as M.L. gives us an amnesty bill.

In practice, it won’t happen while Obama’s reign continues because they KNOW he would do something completely wacky with it.

I have trouble believing it matters. I don’t see the GOP allowing an anti amnesty as leader. They have and are selling out this country. And they are going to continue doing so.

Meet The New Boss.....

Anyone here know what job Raul Labrador had before he became a Congressman?

Immigration lawyer!

Since Kevin McCarthy has a F-minus grade on immigration from Numbers USA, I guess Labrador qualifies as a slight improvement.

He wants a “guest worker program.”

That could mean a lot of things. People who keep projecting their most extreme distortions on other people are of no help here.

Re: “Oh wow, that makes him the devil doesn’t it?”

No.

It means:

(1) He will not support enforcement of our current immigration laws against illegal workers.

(2) He will support our current rate of 1 million work visas per year.

(3) He will support our current rate of 1 million new Green Cards per year.

(4) He will support our current rate of 750,000 new citizens each year (600,000 will support the Democrat Party).

(5) He will support our current Affirmative Action (Quota) laws for Hispanics and other new immigrants.
