U.S. Special Operations forces captured one of the suspected ringleaders of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi in a secret raid in Libya over the weekend, the first time one of the accused perpetrators of the 2012 assault has been apprehended, according to U.S. officials.
The officials said Ahmed Abu Khattala was captured near Benghazi by American troops, working alongside the FBI, following months of planning, and was now in U.S. custody “in a secure location outside Libya.” The officials said there were no casualties in the operation, and that all U.S. personnel involved have safely left Libya.

Along with other comments on this thread (e.g., convenient time to catch this guy), that’s what I was thinking. I was also thinking that Rep Gowdy should say he wants to speak with him as soon as he lands in the US or Gitmo. Judge Napolitano is on FNC now and doesn’t think he’ll be flown to Gitmo, given Obummer wants to close it. He thinks he’ll be flown to D.C. and tried in the area (No District of VA IIRC).

.... Ha .... Since the Benghazi hearings are moving to the next level of progress, my guess is that this event could well have been staged. And was more like a special delivery to the US Special forces after being briefed and the talking points fully internalized and rehearsed by special personnel to satisfy any inquiry during an interrogation.
I don’t care who they capture, it still will not absolve Hitlery or Biraq of their guilt of doing NOTHING to help.

The current regime has me so cynical that I don’t care. I wouldn’t be abit surprised to learn that this is strictly kabuki - that the order went out to get someone - anyone - and we’ll stash him in Gitmo ‘til the heat’s off.
