Russia is like a case of malaria: once you get it, it will never go away. Causes the same level of sympathy too.

RT tweeted that the Russian units merely are returning “home” to neighboring countries.

Several border incidents have happened in recent days.

Ukrainian mortar shells falling on Russian Territory after a fight near the border, Debris from an airstrike on a then-rebel controlled border post falling on Russian Border Guards, etc.

The Embassy violence in Kiev, and the consulate demonstration in Odessa.

The biggest one though, and likely the last straw, was several Ukrainian APC’s crossing into Russia searching for a reported Tank Transporter. They rolled one of the APC’s into a deep ditch, and had to abandon it.

In addition, Kiev is currently moving a lot of troops near the border, as well.

Russia is like a case of malaria:...

And we've given up our DDT to deal with it effectively.

The Embassy in Kiev is a big deal. All the NATO troops have put troops on their borders. What is Russia supposed to do....Look the other way like Obama??

I think what Ukraine’s Foreign Minister said is having more effect than what just the Embassy attack is.

Whatever you think of these guys, they keep making diplomatic blunder, after diplomatic blunder.

Add in the killing of a Rossya24 Journalist, as well as the Massacre of Civilians by Right Sector north of Lugansk the other day, and Russian Media is in a feeding frenzy.

Good lord, the board is full of commie loving Russia defenders.

Not at all, I've been on this forum almost 10 years now and I am as conservative as they come.

However, the anti-Russia propaganda in the media is sickening. I happen to speak Russian (albeit it pretty badly) and have spent several months in Russia over the past few years. I have what few people in the USA have regarding Russia: perspective.

One thing that Russia is NOT at any level is Communist. Furthermore, Re: Ukraine, Putin has handled the crisis masterfully. I don't think anyone could have done anything better for the benefit of Russia than he did.

Note that the coup in Ukraine are the ones currently bombing innocent women and children (including with illegal incendiary bombs), and calling rebels with a legitimate gripe terrorists.

Whose side do you really want to be on?

I’m seeing rumors of this but could be dis-info. I’ll believe it when NATO announces it. On second thought...

Meanwhile, the Right-Sector Nazi’s (yes, ACTUAL NAZI’S), the only effective combat formations the Kiev Gov seems to have, are engaged in ethnic cleansing in the Southeast. You can’t call it anything else.

I wouldn’t call Putin’s moves “Masterful”, but more “Machiavellian”.

He knew what what was happening in Ukraine, (and who was behind it), and had a plan to move on incredibly strategic Crimea should the government fall. It did, and he moved. That the Southeast would try to follow was clear to anyone with even a basic understanding of the area.

Militarily occupying other countries has that effect on the casual observer of Russia.

Russia is murdering their neighbors again. Nothing new here. Russian Federation MVD & GRU troops have been KIA by the dozens in Ukraine already. All the info is out there if you chose to get it. Really, this isn’t difficult unless you have Putinist colored glasses.

“I’m seeing rumors of this but could be dis-info”

A couple of the video’s of “Russian Troop Movements” turned out to be Ukrainian troops moving toward Luhansk. No word on the others, though. The Geo-locating guy on Twitter had his account suspended.

Of course, our Russian FReepers assure us that, while Putin is a Machiavellian, he would never dare, ever, to destabilize E. Ukraine before moving on it.

Putin commits mass murder and our resident Putinistas joyfully bath in the blood of “Nazi” Ukraine. Disgusting.
