I’ve never understood the hyper-focus on “a certain number of deaths in one time and place,” as opposed to the same number of deaths more widely scattered. Are the people who died in a natural disaster on Tuesday more dead than the same number who died in auto accidents?

Somebody might create a real troll with a poll in Chicago about executing murderers by hanging. Of course, it would not be a “scientific” poll, whatever that means anymore.
“Should Illinois juries have the option to sentence murderers to be executed by hanging?”
Imagine the shrill cries from the usual suspects.
Some of those people killed in Chicago were killed in mass shootings.
