Dave Brat Talks Big Victory on Hannity: 'It's An Unbelievable Miracle [Video]

Dave Brat, the Republican candidate who pulled a stunning upset and defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a primary fight, called into Fox News Tuesday night after his big win, telling Sean Hannity in an exclusive interview that "it's a miracle" and said "God acted through the people on my behalf." He thanked everyone who came out to support his campaign to topple a Republican who raised far more money than he did.

Brat said that while he's received a ton of tea party support, he didn't run as a tea partier. He supports Republican principles, and made it clear "the only problem with Republican principles is no one's following them."

He and Hannity went down the line on a number of big issues, including education and immigration. He denied he has any opposition to any Republican policies, calling attacks that he's a liberal "pure politics" and "bad ethics."

He also talked about America upholding a strong rule of law when Hannity brought up Obama administration issues like health care.

You have to endure Hannity trying to make it all about him, but Brat sounds pretty good.

“Brat said that while he’s received a ton of tea party support”

From what I have heard probably from individuals and not the so called Tea Party organizations. Exactly why I send my money directly to the candidate themselves.

I live in the 7th district. the Brat campaign received no money from national Tea Party and conservative organizations. However, there are several very active local grass roots tea party groups in the 7th district. I think they helped a lot by contacting registered republicans.
