On June 10 Obama took part in Q and A session hosted by Tumblr in which he said "mass shootings have become run of the mill" and the U.S. is "the only developed country... where this happens."
Canada is "developed;" earlier on June 10 Breitbart News reported about a shooting in Moncton, New Brunswick, in which a gunman shot five Royal Canadian Mounted Police, killing three and leaving two in critical condition.

Government murders more people with guns than any other entity by orders of magnitude.

I can only imagine (and hope) how many folks packing would draw down on a shooter at the next mall attack and how many more innocent will die becuz no one had a weapon to defend themselves or their families or friends.
There is no magic formula for stopping challenged or programmed individuals , no panacea in sight, regardless the further calls for more background checks, etc.,
In almost every case, signs were there, loaded weapons were there and family members and /or co-workers ignored those signs. Thru slip-up, slight or whatever,, firearms were there at hand,, so were knives, ropes, toxic fluids..
