"These five guys are not a threat to the United States," says Clinton. "They are a threat to the safety and security of Afghanistan and Pakistan. It's up to those two countries to make the decision once and for all that these are threats to them. So I think we may be kind of missing the bigger picture here. We want to get an American home, whether they fell off the ship because they were drunk or they were pushed or they jumped, we try to rescue everybody."
Last week President Obama traded the Taliban 5, who were being held at Gitmo, for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was being held by the Taliban.

They are so inconsistent on this whole “we bring our boys home” thing; it’s sickening.
Want to put them up in the guest house at your place? Hmmmm?
Basically, Hillary says, “What does it matter if it’s just a bunch of guys out for a walk.... what difference does it make?”
When this release comes back to bite us we are going to have to do our own digging to find out if it was from one of these five - because our media is going to go complete black-out to protect Hillary.
2.5 years to go.
Careful Hillary you shrew! That statement may just come back to bite you in your large ass!
How will she spin an attack on the US or US personnel that is proven to be caused by one or more these people?
Once again, pathological liar. She is nothign but a talking farm animal.
Hagel throws Obama under bus over Bergdahl White House tried to pin swap scandal on Defense chief

WASHINGTON Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel apparently isnt going to let the Obama administration throw him under the bus in the Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl scandal. In fact, you could say just the opposite.
In his opening statement this morning at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee, Hagel made a point of saying it was President Obama who made the final decision to swap Bergdahl for five top Taliban leaders, with the full support of his national security team.
Here are the Taliban Terrorists Obama Released to Free POW Bowe Bergdahl
In exchange for Army Sgt. Bowe Berghdahl, the U.S. has released five senior Taliban commanders from the Guantanamo Bay prison. They are considered some of the worst of the worst.
The five Guantanamo detainees released by the Obama administration in exchange for Americas last prisoner of war in Afghanistan, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, are bad guys. They are top Taliban commanders the group has tried to free for more than a decade.
According to a 2008 Pentagon dossier on Guantanamo Bay inmates, all five men released were considered to be a high risk to launch attacks against the United States and its allies if they were liberated. The exchange shows that the Obama administration was willing to pay a steep price, indeed, for Bergdahls freedom. The administration says they will be transferred to Qatar, which played a key role in the negotiations.
In the initial statements released about the deal, the White House declined to name the detainees who would be leaving the Cuba based prison Obama has been trying to close since his first day in office.
A senior U.S. defense official confirmed Saturday that the prisoners to be released include Mullah Mohammad Fazl, Mullah Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Mohammed Nabi Omari.
While not as well known as Guantanamo inmates like 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the Taliban 5 were some of the worst outlaws in the U.S. war on terror. And their release will end up replenishing the diminished leadership ranks of the Afghan Taliban at a moment when the United States is winding down the war there.
They are undoubtedly among the most dangerous Taliban commanders held at Guantanamo, said Thomas Joscelyn, a senior editor at the Long War Journal who keeps a close watch on developments concerning the detainees left at the Guantanamo Bay prison.
Fazl, for example, was the Talibans former deputy defense minister and is wanted by the United Nations for his role in massacres targeting Afghans Shiite Muslim population.
According to the 2008 Pentagons dossier on Fazl disclosed by Wikileaks (PDF), Noori also was a senior Taliban military figure and, according to his Pentagon dossier, was asked personally in 1995 by Osama bin Laden (PDF) to participate in an offensive against northern alliance warlord Rashid Dostum.
Wasiq, a former deputy minister of intelligence, at one point tried to cooperate with U.S. forces in Afghanistan and asked for a GPS system as well as a special radio to communicate with the U.S. military after the U.S. invasion in 2001. His dossier (PDF) says that he was a crucial liaison between the Taliban and other Islamic fundamentalist groups while he was deputy intelligence minister. But the 2008 report also said he was holding out information he had on other top al Qaeda and Taliban leaders during interrogations.
Khairkhwa, a former Taliban governor of Herat, was considered by the Pentagons 2008 dossier to be a likely heroin trafficker (PDF). That dossier also says he likely participated in meetings with Iranian officials after 9-11 to help plot attacks on U.S. forces following the invasion. Iran has worked in some cases with the government that has replaced the Taliban in Afghanistan, but also has been accused by the U.S. military of supplying the Taliban and other insurgent groups with roadside bombs known as improvised explosive devices of IEDs.
This are “guys” just like Obama referred to Bergdahl as a “kid.”
Using friendly terms for our enemy is a liberal tactic to dissuade us for what we know and changing the definition to suit their twisted world view.
If Hillary says it’s so in her liberal bubble world than it must be true...? Go throw another pot at your idiot husband! FUHC!
Save that film clip. The day will come when Hillary Rottenheart Clinton will want to deny having ever said it.
Hillary: Taliban 5 ‘Not a Threat to the United States’
It took 19 Saudi’s to kill nearly 3,000 people and wound 11,000 more and start a war that has killed and wounded 10’s of thousands more. But hey it is ‘only’ 5 guys not 19 according to clinton.
These 5 had killed thousands of people before being caught.
This book tour is great as Hillary is showing why she should not be POTUS.
Nice position for a former Sec of State. Other countries must get a lot of comfort from her candidacy.
This is the woman whose husband was planting his cigar in an intern while talking on the phone to Yasser Arafat.
So really what difference does it make?
I’m prepared to get blasted, but I am 100% behind Hillary’s comments here. They are “guys” (and they are indeed “bad guys”, but they are certainly no threat to the US. How could they be? Are they coming to the US? And if they are, are they thought to be more dangerous than the other millions of “bad guys?” What are they going to do that anyone else with that intent could not get done? 13 years and Dr Evil and the Al Kaydas haven’t even had the wherewithall to rob a liquor store. Are they incompetent? Unmotivated? Do they even exist as a real group? This whole WOT — and the resultant War on Civil Liberties — is surely one of the biggest disasters we have ever undertaken. Hillary, of course, is a MUCH bigger threat to the US. Much bigger!
Saggy bags is practicing her Kerryesque nuance nonsense, hoping it doesn’t pop her brain bubble. Once again she proves she is unfit for anything more demanding than dumpster diving.
