I wonder if they will provide RV hookups in the parking lot. I understand it is tough for finding affordable housing in the booming areas of ND.
Why I still hold out hope for America. The work/profit ethic here is still strong and if we can get the Luddites and their butt buddies the Marxists out of the way the country will rebound with a fury that would make everyone smile. VA’s election last night is an indicator.
I have an old friend that is a rancher in ND and he says that the businesses have to bus in all sorts of low information people to get help because the oil boom has drawn all of the good workers to the oil fields.
They cannot build housing fast enough, and prices of everything have skyrocketed.
Just like the old California gold rush days.

Indeed. Even $17.40 an hour doesn’t cut it when rent is $1000 a month and a hotel is $100 a night. They never quite get around to mentioning that in these kinds of stories, which makes me think it’s actually propaganda.
Perhaps he lives with his parent, unless they have rented out his bedroom.

The better alternative would be only minimum wage jobs,gubmint subsidized section 8 housing, gubmint EITC, gumbmint rent control , and EBT cards.
7-11 type stores here (West Texas) are paying $15/hr to start.
