The border crisis hadn’t really heated up in time for the McConnell primary, plus McC hasn’t been quite as vocal a proponent of Amnesty as Cantor. However, you can be sure McConnell is getting the message. That is the upside about knocking off one of the GOPe pro-Amnesty cheerleaders: the others get cold feet.

Three days ago, Cantor’s last opponent wrote a letter to the Huffington Post urging his fellow democrats, everyone and anyone to vote for Brat...it will be a whole new story come November. Enjoy it while we can. It would be wonderful if this continues!

Victory is sweet. This truly was as major upset. Outspent something like 8 to 1 Let's hope it sends a message to sitting Rinos that they better start voting conservative or they're next. Also, I hope it sends a message to the GOPe that IT better fall in line and support these folks with cash in the general election, and not withhold it as punishment.

Although I am not that familiar with Brat, I would say he did not run his campaign as badly as Bevin did. Bevin had some flaws and although McConnell does look likeToby the Turtle he is a real SOB to run against.
