Wags, a lot has gone on here in the year and a half that you were off.

Did you ever thing you would see so many pro-abort comments? Here at FR of all places?

Times have changed.

******************************

It's disquieting.

Let me think about that. I thought my statement is anti-abortion. I’m completely pro-life.

RU 486 and Plan B are both abortifacients.

The Abortion Pill and the Morning-After Pill: Are They the Same?

The Abortion Pill, currently marketed as Mifeprex in the United States and RU-486 in Europe, is used to abort a baby within the first seven weeks of pregnancy.

Although Plan B could serve as a contraceptive, it could also serve as an abortifacient.

Actually I thought your statement favored the Plan B or even RU 486 process.

When a woman reports a rape when it occurs, won't the treatment she gets prevent most pregnancies?

It doesn't. Just standard medical care. If a pregnancy still occurs, it's difficult, but I'd be pro-life.

Why? Because that’s my opinion like it or not.

Your "opinion" is no opinion at all.

Unwilling mother or not, what gives a woman the right to kill her own child?

Your “opinion” is no opinion at all... actually it is but one must understand what an opinion is.

It would appear the tolerance on this post is reserved for one sided thinking only, all others are unwelcome. Sounds like liberal thinking.

IBTZ.

You must know - by now - that abortion is wrong. Rape or incest does not give anyone the right to kill a child.

You don’t like this “one sided thinking”? Take it up with JR. If you get that chance.

So then, in your opinion, for what other crimes should the child of the criminal be put to death?

I'm curious because putting a child to death for his or her parents crimes seems especially barbaric and draconian.

If you want to see a liberal get flustered, try this:
When a liberal responds to an anti-abortion statement with, "What about cases of rape or incest?", answer with, "OK, let's limit abortions to just rape and incest." Their next response will reveal their true intentions.

Free Republic is a PRO-LIFE forum, so it actually IS reserved for one-sided thinking.

As far as liberal thinking, it is liberals who have the crazy notion that free speech extends to private property.

Thinking that a woman has ANY right to kill her own child is the very definition of "liberal".

Abortion is always for selfish reasons.

“rape & incest I’d have to leave to the victim.”

Which victim? The baby or the mother?

“When a woman reports a rape when it occurs, won’t the treatment she gets prevent most pregnancies? “

Yes, that is the standard procedure as part of a rape treatment in the ER.

What “standard medical care” are you referring to?

Incest is either rape - forcible or statutory - or it’s legal, consensual sex.

Wut? When did consensual incest become legal? I'm not challenging you; I'm just having a hard time keeping up with my fundamental transformation scorecard.

I agree with your premise. What I have trouble with is that rape is not considered a capital offense. In the cases of prepubescent child rape, it can inflict a lifetime of emotional torture on the victim.
