I think there's a typo in the title. Shouldn't it read "Demonizing St. Bergdahl"?

The never leave anyone behind gang.

The comments section reveals a segment of brainwashed voters.

They will not wake up and they will not turn away from BO to a conservative. If they give up on BO it’ll be because another brainwasher has entered the scene.

But the Benghazi hearings approach. And they are not going to be good.

Give me a break and stop telling others what to think.

In NO way did I endorse McCain. I challenge you to point out to me exactly what I said ENDORSED him. Do it. Show me the words.

I pointed out NYT’s perverted interpretation of words. The words happened to come from McCain whom I detest. Regardless, their interpretation was completely and utterly wrong and misleading.

The problem with Juan is that he has no principles. I'll give McCain the benefit of the doubt to prove that he has no principles. Let's say Juan would simply entertain the idea of an exchange. That thought should only last in his pea brain for a minute or two. (Shorter if he had full mental faculties.) At that time Juan should realize that any exchange requires negotiating with terrorists. That's the sin here - negotiating with terrorists.

An American principle, not even a conservative principle, should be that we do only one thing with terrorists, and that is kill them.

its just awfully strange that a guy in a warzone could just go and come as he pleased..

That is one of the excuses/defenses that some came up with later during the week: the army base was too lax and undisciplined, allowing too much freedom that led to Bergdahl leaving the base multiple times.

[Stay tuned. More excuses/defenses -- of, by, and for the Obama administration -- may be forthcoming by the Sunday morning news-talkies.]

I am beginning to wonder if Bergdahl has ever been disciplined. His parents? School? Army? Taliban (caged him for a time until he may have joined them, maybe that is what he liked)? If he thinks he can just do what he wants when he gets displeased, it sounds like he learned it at home. Why did Army put up with it? And why did he join the Army in the first place?

Your own post has McCain saying: “I would support ways of bringing him home and if exchange was one of them [NOTE - and that was the case] I think that would be something I think we should seriously consider.”

So Obama considered, with McCain’s blessing.

One can condemn Obama’s actions without being required to back McCain’s statements. I condemn Obama AND McCain on this matter.

Really now? That's just pathetic. Nobody here can quote anything anymore in trying to make a counter point? I did italicize it in case you try to tell me it wasn't clear.

yes but was it just BOWeeWee or did other soldiers just wander offbase when they wanted too also..

He was off duty when he did this...

Did BOWeeWee alone walk out the gate past the guard unchallenged for a pass etc or did the other soldiers also just wander at will...

was BOWeeWee special, or had they just given up on him because they needed his body there and they were in a warzone ???

was BOWee Wee due to be sent back to the world or was he being sent back early ???

did he not want to go home ???

There was article posted in the last few days of a NYTimes executive bemoaning that they did not get the NSA files from Snowden and the WaPo and the Guardian did; the Wapo won the Pulitzer.
This editorial tells the reason why Snowden did not trust the NYSlimes. He was not frightened that it would not publish the material, BUT that he would TURN HIM over to Obama’s GESTOPO.
Obama and company’s sexual organs are so far up the orifices of the NYSlimes that Obama will have to use his presidential influence to get the murderin Gosnell a pardon in order that he can perform the separations procedures.

I can’t go to the comments section of these kind of articles. I already know how the Grey Hag’s readers think and it’s just not worth the clicks.

“In the comment section someone says that republicans are overreacting - the five released will no doubt be taken out as soon as they try to do anything to harm us.
It’s stunning.”

Yes, it is stunning. It’s also interesting how they miss the concept that negotiating with terrorists rewards them for their actions and encourages more of the same. Even if these 5 never reengage in terrorism, this exchange will embolden others who are still active, and will aid recruitment.
