Much of the research will involve SNAP, since the average 47.6 million people who received food stamp benefits each month in 2013 had “diets in need of improvement,” the USDA said.

If they paid for the food themselves, I think better choices would be made. I wonder if they will think of that in their research?

Isn’t that sweet. They’re calling them choices.

Trouble is that the USDA has no idea what is “healthy” and what is not.

$1.9 million?

Having worked in a federal facility, I'd hazard a guess that $1.9 million would pay for the fence around the parking area, and maybe some of the anti-truck-bomb barriers between the parking area and the front door.

It really has the look that they expand these programs just for the purpose of justifying taking more controls of our lives.

Oh. My. Lord.

How on earth did I raise my kids without a study telling me how to do it?

And my mother?

And my grandmother?

This country has gone stark raving mad.

I’ll make whatever damned food choices I want.

Take your nanny state slop to the EBT crowd.

$1.9 million is nothing, and they can’t do squat with that amount (especially spread over 3 years). Probably some low-level government clerk is doing this to help fund a few relatives or something.

How about just letting us choose?

They’re changing our “choices”.

You still get to choose as long as they approve.

Ahhh!!!

So that’s why the USDA put out an RFP for submachine guns and boatloads of .40 S&W. They are going to become door-to-door nutrition Nazis.
