Idahoans ache for attention, which is one of the reasons we make such a big deal out of an otherwise second-rate football team like Boise State.Well, that helps explain the blue astroturf! B^)

Yes and because of that, the more American citizens reach for something better, they end up coming into contact with it.

I worked at a local TV station here in Boise at that time I was at Mt Home for two years, before I went to Vietnam. I learned to ski at Bogus Basin.

If I had two functioning knees, I'd be at Bogus every day I could in the winter. As it is, I have to enjoy it up there in the summer, hiking the trails.
I'm not going to mention which station I worked for, because I don't want to give them free publicity, but you probably can guess which one it is.

I got to Mountain Home in 68, and left for Vietnam in 70. Of corse at that time, there was no cable/Satellite TV. We had a grand total of 2 TV stations that we could watch. The only one I can remember, was KBOI out of Boise.
I am a big time hockey fan too, but there was no team in Boise, but I guess there is a minor league team there now. I have gone to see the San Jose Sharks play quite a few times. I haven't skied in many years, but I still get on the ice once in awhile, and continue to dream of playing hockey.
