A Pentagon investigation concluded in 2010 that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl walked away from his unit, and after an initial flurry of searching the military decided not to exert extraordinary efforts to rescue him, according to a former senior defense official who was involved in the matter.

Instead, the U.S. government pursued negotiations to get him back over the following five years of his captivity — a track that led to his release over the weekend.

Bergdahl was being checked and treated Monday at a U.S. military hospital in Germany as questions mounted at home over the swap that resulted in his freedom in exchange for the release of five detainees who were sent to Qatar from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo, Cuba.

Even in the first hours of Bergdahl's handoff to U.S. special forces in eastern Afghanistan, it was clear this would not be an uncomplicated yellow-ribbon celebration. Five terrorist suspects also walked free, stirring a debate over whether the exchange would heighten the risk of other Americans being snatched as bargaining chips and whether the released detainees — several senior Taliban figures among them — would find their way back to the fight.

This is currently the headlining article on Yahoo News. And the comments are devastating. You can almost feel the outrage. It's making the IRS, VA, and Benghazi scandals look trivial, in comparison.

Obama approved a deal with terrorists, for a deserter. It can't get much worse than that.

That fact suggests the media does not think this story can be buried.

As former soldiers speak out on this story it has become clear they will not be silenced. Soldiers who were willing to give their lives for their comrades and their country are not going to back down.

Someone has the goods on Obama. Yes, yes, we all know he will stand with muzzies first but it really is starting to look like his dirt got "outside" the inner circles of DC (and the power brokers/money purses) and muzzies (muslim brotherhood??) are using their last two years pulling their puppet's strings to get back some key players while instituting bad policy to financially harm America. Think about it; if THAT were true and got out (obama being compromised for multiple years), the Democrat party is finished when the populace begin's to scratch the surface and understand just how many are complicit. The Republicans are up to their eyeballs as well and the TEA Party would re-name them the Whigs.

I’ve gotta admit, I was surprised at the boldness of trotting Rice out on the Sunday talk shows to discuss this given her past on Middle-Eastern-Issues-on-Sunday-Talk-Shows...

i.e. Benghazi.

Are we supposed to think she’s a credible spokesperson? Anything she says should automatically be assumed to be the opposite.
