ORLANDO, Fla. — A request for money led to a fight which left one man shot dead outside an Orlando convenience store Sunday morning.
Orange County deputies were called to a 7-Eleven in the 800 block of Lee Rd. around 5 a.m. Sunday in reference to a shooting.
Once on scene, deputies found a man in his late 20’s in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Investigators say the shooting victim had approached a customer at the store, identified as a man in his 40’s, and asked for money.

The “asking for money” thing is just a trick to put you off your guard and to get close enough to pull their pistol/knife on you.
NEVER let anyone get within 10 feet of you at one of these places, especially at night, without being ready to draw your CCW. NEVER!

Begging at gas stations is big in Fort Worth. A couple weeks ago a guy asked if I could spare $50 to gas up his car.
I would suspect the dead perp was a well known local thug and the police thinks of it as taking out the trash...
Warning to all dirt bags, the north east US is where you want to be, they are largely a gun free zone. The South is not, and has no problem “taking out the trash”.
Mass, Conn, and NYNY has the welcome mat out for these types.

Last week in Tampa I was approached to give a guy $20 to gas up his car for some bogus reason...
I blew him off politely, he came back a few minutes later looking for bus fare money...
This time I told "Dude, I carry. back off"
He just about ran away...
BTW, I used to live in cowtown...great town...

Maybe libs should be banned from gas stations
We were visiting Dallas over the Memorial Day holiday and had this happen to us twice in the 3 days we were there.
When I told him no, he went to the next pump, then all the way down the line. When I left he was approaching people in parked cars. Unfortunately the beggers have all descended to gas stations. They curse you out if you don’t give them anything. My city has become a magnet for bums drawn to our sanctuary city status. It’s time to move.
It’s getting bad in the DFW area in general. There’s a push to turn Texas blue.
You can imagine the kind of look I got before that guy quickly walked away.
What is it about 7-11’s and bums? Yesterday, a fat, tie dye shirt clad bum asked me for money as I exited a 7-11.
