South Korean President Park Geun-hye warned this week that if North Korea conducts another nuclear test, it could prompt the volatile country's neighbors to seek their own nuclear defense. "North Korea would effectively be crossing the Rubicon," she told the Wall Street Journal.

Like who? China is already nuclear. So is India. We protect S. Korea and Japan. A silly comment to make that will surely not affect the North in the least.

South Korea might want to start getting really serious about not depending on the US if a war starts.

Their ships of the King Sejong The Great Class are a good start though.

The Koreans certainly have the technical and industrial capacity to come up with one in a year or two.

I still believe that the Japanese could come up with some in a few hours using a screwdriver and a socket wrench.

The Koreans probably could do it in a couple months.

They’ve been spending a lot of military and space technologies.

Japan and South Korea should see the writing on the wall. America is in decline thanks to Obama, and if Hillary gets elected (due to the GOPe nominating Jeb or Fatso Christie), then they should both go nuclear.

Japan has the capability to make about 30 nuclear devices a month and about a dozen thermo nuclear devices a year. South Korea about a quarter of that.

China would probably rather invade and annex North Korea rather than have Japan and South Korea as nuclear neighbors.

“We protect S. Korea and Japan.”

No one should look to the US protection while O’Fubar is in power. Everything about this country is now 180 degrees out of whack.

The nuclear genie is out of the bottle. It's time to encourage our allies to have nukes, instead of only our enemies.

If YOU were Japan and South Korea, would you put your future survival in the hands of a communist kenyan, who would like nothing better than to be the American Kim?
