Christians need not apply

The number of careers and professions available to practicing Christians is shrinking by the day.

You can add a career in public health to that list. Dr. Brendan Bain, one of the leading AIDS experts in the Caribbean, has been unceremoniously cashiered from his post for having the temerity to tell the truth about the cause of AIDS.

A long-time and highly respected professor at the University of West Indies until his retirement in 2012, Dr. Bain was praised by all as a "pioneer” in the effort to combat HIV/AIDS, which is at epidemic proportions in Caribbean nations. Since his retirement, he has continued to serve as the Director of the Regional Coordinating Unit of the Caribbean HIV/AIDS Regional Training Network (CHART). He is credited with diagnosing the first HIV/AIDS case in Jamaica, in 1983. What got Dr. Bain in trouble is that he wouldn't keep his medical and biological and scientific knowledge to himself but had the brazen audacity to offer it as expert testimony in a case in Belize. -

Most government or quasi-government positions are now barring those with anything more than nominal Christian beliefs. And this is just the inception.

Just out of curiosity, what is the official Muslim view of homosexuality and if it’s what I think it is, does that disqualify Muslims from public health professions?

In some Western countries, muslims are permitted to skip using alcohol based cleaners to scrub up before engaging in medical practice.

They are also exempted from Obamacare because of religious beliefs (insurance is akin to gambling in their view).

All animals are equal. Some are more equal than others. Especially to the boy king president who has repeatedly referred to the “holy koran” but never called it the “holy bible”.

"the truth about the cause of AIDS."

Well obviously it's caused by homophobia.

(insurance is akin to gambling in their view).

That is quite curious. Does that apply to auto insurance? which is required by law in order to drive. Does that apply to mortgage insurance? which is required by law in order to purchase a home.

If a moslem can drive and own a home but be exempt from the ACA, then all members of any faith can be exempt.

Personally, I think we should tell homosexuals that unprotected anal sex will prevent AIDS.

Too bad Dr. Bain didn't do that. He'd still have a job.

Muslims can lie about their official view on anything — it’s called taqqiya.

If this is what is going on then it violates the Constitution's prohibition on religious tests, Clause 3 of Article VI.

Good point. And liberals can believe anything Muslims tell them.

It’s called Willingness To Get Shafted By Those They Revere.

Don't leave out kitman, tawriya, or muruna. What a rich religion with 4 officially recognized forms of lying. By comparison, the Christian and Jew are commanded not to bear false witness.

“They are also exempted from Obamacare because of religious beliefs “

Not true. That’s an urban legend,
