"When Elliot Rodger's parents realized just how dangerous their disturbed son was, they made a desperate attempt to try to stop him. They received a copy of his 141-page manifesto and saw a YouTube video outlining his plans for his "Day of Retribution" on Friday night and called 911 before rushing to Santa Barbara in separate cars, a family friend tells the New York Daily News. They heard about the shooting spree while they were on their way. "They were hoping against hope," the friend says. "They are in inconceivable pain."

He had no criminal history, never explicitly threatened others, and even when his worried parents requested police check on him, deputies found no reason to place him in an involuntary psychiatric hold."

Is this the story the parents are going to go by now? I guess it took a little time to agree on one.
So, their lawyer has now figured out that instead of trying to appease Gun-Grabbers that don’t have legal stake in this, he/they should have been preparing for the onslaught of negligence lawsuits in identifying the son as a high-risk to the authorities.
My guess is you won’t find any 911 tapes or transcripts or records of calls to police, etc. before that day when they found his ‘manifesto.’
The parents must have talked to lawyers, and this is was they are saying in an attempt to avoid lawsuits.
His dad sells pictures of women’s butts. One of those artsy fartsy types.
Santa Barbara is a liberal area. The sharks smell blood.
Actually, the contact the Sheriff’s Office made was a month ago. And, obviously, the assessment of the deputies at that time was correct. I’d like more details about this latest call from the parents. It’d be interesting to know exactly what they conveyed to law enforcement.
I though I read where his dad also worked for a violet video game company. . . .

In all these cases at this turning point they are allowed to be trusted to take thier meds on thier own refuse mental health help and be unleashed onto society because of the mental health FAILURE constructed by the government. At the age of 18 they should be automatically infirmed and re evaluated before being set free on thier own
The second unit usually goes out and shoots things like establishing shots, location pieces, stuff like that.

As a rule, that’s correct. For a show that’s shot mostly on stage, though, the principles may get flown to location to do exteriors, and the second unit will shoot those.
Essentially, they do whatever the director foists off on them.
And that ‘therapy’ told him he was as normal as anyone so as not to stigmatize him...
Which was no therapy at all. And it is solely the responsibility of liberals that the APA was reduced to a behavorial justification department of the federal govt. They closed institutions in the name of ‘rights’, reworded long established facts and made their problems simply vanish with psychotropic drugs.
Except now we see they didn’t. It is only a miracle from God that this does not happen dozens of times daily.
More like terrible values about humans. The first three victims were young men.
