Young People Ditching California Tech Scene to Become Texas Oilmen
Breitbart's Texas ^ | May 22, 2014 | Kristin Tate

Silicon Valley is being snubbed for Texas by millenials around the world, who are enticed by the Lone Star State's plentiful, lucrative opportunities. Texas' booming gas and oil industry provides young transplants with the chance to find success as oil barons, businessmen, investors, engineers, and landmen.

27-year-old Mark Hiduke, a young Texas oilman, told Bloomberg News that the gas and oil boom has "created a lot of opportunity for young professionals to jump in and be given enormous responsibility. It’s pretty much tech and then energy."

Hiduke reportedly raised $100 million to build his company, PetroCore LLC, which is a mere three weeks old.

New drilling technology has shifted the focus of the oil industry, and provided an ideal opportunity for millenials to enter the scene. According to Bloomberg News, "conventional drilling" is likely to retire with baby boomers, since the technological breakthrough and the new generation of oilmen are grabbing hold of the industry simultaneously.

While gas and oil were previously highly unpredictable, the "Shale revolution" made the industry more stable and attractive to young people....

Go South-West, young man, and young woman too. Don’t forget the North Dakota miracle still unfolding as we speak.

We can only hope they don’t bring their indoctrinated liberal voting ideas with them.

Why the hell are Texans still paying $3.50/gallon for regular 87 octane gasoline??

Proceed to your favorite search engine and look up "fungible commodity" for the answer.

We need a law to require kalifornians to stay in the state they’ve already destroyed. Instead of allowing them to ruin the rest of the nation.

Breitbart Texas previously reported that most Lone Star State transplants appear to be conservatives seeking refuge.

Certainly true in my case. I left Ohio and never went back. I don't miss the dam taxes, state income tax, work-city income tax, residental-city income tax, some places even have school income tax. What a screwed up mess. I voted yesterday and for the first time had to show my photo ID. It's getting worse liberals.(sarc) Stay away!

You’ll find few liberal’s in the oil business, it’s not a liberal friendly environment.

************************
I voted last Monday. It was the 4th time I haven’t had to drag out my voter registration card. All they required is my driver license, with the photo. They plug the info into a computer, get verification that it’s valid and that I live where I do, have me sign the register and send me to a voting booth.

This BS that Eric Holder and all the other race baiters keep spouting about a photo ID requirement being used to prevent minorities and the poor from voting is nothing but lies.

If people don’t have a photo ID, most States will provide one at no cost, with proof of US citizenship and residence.

About 90% of the time that’s like asking a polecat not to bring it’s smell.

They just want to work in an industry where there aren’t millions of Asian coolies waiting to take their jobs; they’re learning (especially with liberal immigration policies).

They’d better leave their left wing politics behind ... or these opportunities will disappear.

I don’t believe that, by all theories of economics the price should be coming down and it simply isn’t.

In part because it costs 3 to 5 times as much to drill a horizontal fracked well as it cost to drill a conventional well.

There are a lot more of them than you think. As these big refineries, drilling companies etc embrace the government required diversity in the workplace initiatives, you find more and more liberals in the workplace. I thought the same way you do until I went to work in a refinery for one of the big oil companies. I quickly learned that a good quarter of the people that I work with lean left, some way to the left.

Let’s just hope they don’t Californicate Texas the way they did Oregon, Washington, and Montana.

The RAT Liberals in downtown Sacramento are more concerned about Californians using plastic bags at the grocery store than the exodus of California businesses and citizens!

Liberalism is a mental disorder as proven by California politicians.

Perhaps it's more an escape from reality when your view of reality allows no hope of ever escaping it.

Sort of like knowing you are doomed to live on the deck the Titanic but people keep telling you it will never sink even though you know it has hit an iceberg, so you agree to help them keep rearranging the deck chairs!

And...you call crazy anyone who might want to urge you to take a leap of faith and cling to a Life Savior"!
