Nanzi Pelousy would give them green cards
and welcome our new alien overlords.

Maybe, but the SETI people definitely want to continue to get funding.

Sort of... I’ve always thought of him as “preparing the way”, kinda like the “John the Baptist” of the antichrist.

The Theory of Evolution specifically excludes anything to do with the origin of life (whether through creation, or abiogenesis).

Nanzi believes in universal citizenship. Aliens from any planet, moon, black-hole (I know, raciss), galaxy, cluster, intersteller cloud, etc, can come here and get 0’care, food stamps, shelter (8-A)... as long as they understand they must work hard for her, and vote the right... er, I mean the left way.

As long as life occurred due to naturalistic causes, and God was in no way involved, then life should logically be common and widespread.
IF, however, life was created by God, then there is no reason to expect life anywhere except where created.
The naturalistic bias is now so prevalent in science that Deistic views are no longer contemplated.

It’s pretty convenient that way, is it not?
Not having to address THE fatal flaw in a theory by defining it as being outside the theory...

As Guillermo Gonzalez said - we’re either alone, or there’s lots of other life out there...
either prospect is very interesting.

So God created a universe with billions of galaxies and trillions of stars, and then only created....us. That was a pretty shabby trick.

But think about how everything in the galaxy has to be positioned just perfectly (Distance of the sun and moon from the Earth), in order to support life on the planet.

Understanding synthetic radio signals is unnecessary.
Detection of synthetic signals is sufficient to prove intelligence. And electromagnetic waves (light, radio, etc.) propagate at the speed of light, so Alpha Centauri is about four years away.

With trillions of solar systems it’s got to have happened millions of times.

Even if there are others out there like us-hanging out and wondering if God/The Supreme Being created anyone else besides them-unless they are a lot more technologically advanced than we are, we won’t meet soon because of the many light years of distance involved.
But if they are advanced enough to get here soon, maybe Steven Hawking is right about us not tempting fate by yelling hey, here we are any more than we already have...
