Wehby wins GOP Senate Race in Oregon Primary
kgw.com/news ^ | May 20, 2014 | Frank Mungeam

Dr. Monica Wehby won the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate, and will face incumbent Jeff Merkley in November.

Republican voters chose Wehby over state Rep. Jason Conger. Wehby had the backing of the Washington establishment and much of the money in the race. Conger of Bend was supported by social conservatives and many of the Republicans in the state Legislature.

Wehby got off to a strong start but stumbled in the final week, when police reports came to light showing her ex-husband and a former boyfriend called police to report that she was harassing them as their relationships fell apart. No charges came from either claim.

The reports may have affected some voters' decisions, but likely came too late to shift the outcome.

The stalking / Domestic Violence chick wins GOP Senate Primary. But, hey, this is Oregon. Her "alleged" criminal activity surfaced to late to affect voters in the Primary; but, rest assured, the Dem will ride this horse until it falls down.

Another suicide by RINO candidate. Dems waltz to victory again. The GOP keeps making it so easy for them.

How long will WE the people put up with this crap ?

Sounds good to me. Maybe she’ll stalk Harry Reid and McConnell (should he somehow manage to be reelected) and terrify them.

Conger wasn’t any better with his votes for the CRC and Immigrant tuition.

I think the stalking-angry spurned woman bit will actually ADD to Wheby's supporters.

Women will like her more for it.

Conservative men want someone that will do battle, and gives a sh*t about something. Anything.

Bring her on.

I actually read few paragraphs on a story a few weeks ago and I thought Wehby sounded marginally better on immigration than Conger.

If she wants to win she needs to run against the mostly Democrat idea of giving driving privileges to illegals and any freebies for illegals.

She can win like Pete Wilson or lose like Dick DeVos.

The Oregon Alternative Driver Licenses Referendum is on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Oregon as a veto referendum.[1] The measure subjects Senate Bill 833 to a popular vote. SB 833 makes four-year driver licenses available to those who cannot prove legal presence in the United States.[2]

She is running in Oregon, not Oklahoma and in the Duck state she looks like a raging, hateful right wing crazy.

The fact that she is a doctor may help her in the race against obamacare.

If she’s the best we can do in Oregon, I’ll take it...from what I can tell - maybe someone that votes like Kay did here in Texas, then no issue.

Now in Texas, we can do MUCH BETTER, and have, with Cruz. Cornyn is ok, but Cruz is Cruz. What SUCKS is that the Republican Establishment did all they could to give us a Dr. Welby, David Dewhurst, here in Texas. Thankfully we showed them where to put it. Unreal.

For crying out loud. Yesterday could not have gone worse. Two RINOS for the runoff in Georgia. RINO Glitch McConnell wins his primary (though by less than anticipated). Bryan Smith loses to amnesty Simpson in Idaho. And now we get babykiller/stalker/gay-marriage/untested boob in Oregon.

In the end, I can see us maybe winning Mississippi and probably winning Oklahoma. Other than that, it is just going to be establishment candidates, who will lose us the opportunity to take over the senate... just like in 2012. At least this time, the establishment will find it very hard to blame the Tea Party and conservatives, as McDaniel, Sasse, and Shannon would breeze the general election easily.

She and David Wu are a matched pair. The Dems can’t complain about stalking after his collegiate stalking and domestic violence.

Conger was the guy to run. This “doctor” is a disaster.

IF we get Mississippi. Things are getting really ugly there. I still can’t get my relatives to vote against Cochran, they buy the lies put out against McDaniel. I told ‘em that Congress will never be changed by putting in the same problem people decade after decade. One more term in the Senate and Cochran will have been in Congress (House and Senate) 2 years short of 50 years (first elected in 1972).

I am focusing much of my efforts on helping the McDaniel campaign. I think Shannon is increasing his margins steadily against Lankford in OK. He has the support of the people.

McDaniel is neck and neck with Cochran, and incumbents who score around 40% are in deep trouble. Chris McDanile will be another Ted Cruz in the senate. We should all focus on getting him elected this cycle.

I hope so. We can’t get rid of the “problem” here in TN with Lamar! and the nice fix for RINOs (open primary AND no runoffs). A heavily Conservative state with supermajorities in the legislature, and we can’t blast the RINO troika of Lamar!, Bob & Haslam out. As soon as one of the first two go, Haslam is going to want to go to DC to vote for more of his mediocrity (and he’d be more free to be the liberal RINO he wants to be without being held on to by a right-leaning legislature he really doesn’t like).

What David Wu did is immaterial right now. The point is, what kind of a persons are Oregonians having to choose between to send to a governing body that has only 100 Members in a 300+ million population? A Liberal, Obama-butt Kissing DemocRAT or a lady who apparently has some mental problems.

We haven’t completely showed them yet... the Run-off between Dewhurst and Dan Patrick is getting down and dirty. Vote next Tuesday!

The doc won, and I'm from PA, so all I can do is send $$.

If you are from Oregon, will you vote for the doc, or the demonRAT or stay at home and pout because conger lost?

Don’t be surprised if a good number of the 36% who voted for Bevin either stay home, skip the Top Race and vote for the down-ballot candidates only or, vote for Grimes in the General.

Somebody help me out here. This “Nursing Home Scandal”: The Cochran Camp and Haley Barbour are trying to tie this around Chris McDaniel’s neck and Chris did not even know the perpetrator. Is it hurting Chris McDaniel? Will this pass and he survive it? I’m really concerned. Somebody fill me in on this please.

A 'moderate' candidate with NO record can say anything she wants to get elected. All candidates run to the right of where they will actually vote. She's an establishment candidate and will vote as Mitch McConnell tells her to.
