Common Core doing what it does best - brainwashing by leading young unformed minds down a path of lies and deception.
Jews need to start seriously thinking about returning to Israel wherever they live.
Their very survival depends on it because the forces at work here are not only political to their destruction, but spiritual as well.
The old religious taboos against blasphemy have been replaced by laws against "denial" of various historical tragedies and "racism."
Ain't progress grand? Just look how far we've come![/sarcasm]
Does the cat have their toungues?
Just asking.
IMHO
[sarcasm]What, secular Jewish liberals engage in islamophobia? Don't you know that goes against four thousand years of Jewish ethical tradition (you know, like public prayer and heterosexuality)? Begone, you horrible bigot.
They're just waiting for some poor "redneck" to say the exact same thing. Then they'll find their courage and the claws will come out. After all, liberals don't pick on poor, powerless, oppressed people like moslems. They save their ire for the powerful people who oppress the world from their trailer parks.[/sarcasm]
“They’re just waiting for some poor ‘redneck’ to say the exact same thing.”
The ancestors of some of those same “rednecks” fought their way across Europe to rid the world of NAZIS to the tune of around 130,000 dead American soldiers.
IMHO
I not Jewish either. History is very inconvenient for some people.
Hmm. They have a superintendent named Mohammed Z. Islam and a spokeswoman named Syeda Jafri. How many more of the faculty and administration are going to turn out to have Muslim names?
Is it fair to ask whether this overt act of anti-Semitism may have been a product of having a large number of Muslims in positions of authority?
Am I the one being insensitive here? Or is that a reasonable question to ask?
Not only reasonable, but needing to be asked 100,000 times more often.
Mohammed Z. Islam sounds like an assumed name.
Just like after the Israelis won the Six Day War, when Cassius Clay changed his name from Muhammad Ali to Morris Steinberg.
Well, no, it's not "appalling" that the students were "exposed". They're going to encounter Holocaust denial in the forum anyway, especially given all the loving attention given to denialism by Communists and neo-Nazis.
Educating children properly requires that they be educated about World War II and the Holocaust. (And it wouldn't hurt that they knew what Pan-Germanism was in the first place, which is where the Holocaust came from.) They should not be locked in a closet and kept from learning about history ..... as the NEA has done so good a job of doing over the last 60 years, as detailed by the author, that American high-school students can't find Great Britain on a map or locate the Civil War in the correct century.
Yesssss ..... how interessstinggg ...... <huffy Ivy League voice> .... but I'm sure it's all just a Big Coincidence, blown up into something more, by people who are hatefully anti-Islamic.
<snerk>
Never mind that their ancestors spent 7000 years learning how to lie, cheat, and deceive in the bazaars and caravanserais of the Devil's Sandbox.
“Is it fair to ask whether this overt act of anti-Semitism may have been a product of having a large number of Muslims in positions of authority?”
“Am I the one being insensitive here? Or is that a reasonable question to ask?”
Just as it’s a reasonable question to ask if the Mosque right next to Ground Zero is a Muslim act of luxuriating in a victory over the “Great Satan”.
The questions are reasonable, but charges of bias, racism, or whatever the charge du jour is will be the answer to both.
IMHO
