A Jeb Bush campaign would have family considerations

Jeb Bush can trace some of his most appealing qualities as a potential presidential candidate for a diversifying electorate to his 40-year partnership with his Mexican-born wife, Columba.

The couple speak Spanish to one another, and their lives have been immersed in Hispanic culture and the immigrant experience.

But Columba’s intense distaste for the public arena is one of the issues weighing most heavily on the former Florida governor as he grapples with whether to run for the White House in 2016, according to interviews with friends, former staffers and GOP donors close to the family.

-snip-

Columba Bush at times seemed a reluctant first lady of Florida. She appeared shy when speaking in English, her second language.

During her husband’s first year in office, she was briefly detained by U.S. Customs agents at the Atlanta airport after falsely stating that she had bought only $500 in clothes on a five-day Paris shopping trip. She had in fact purchased around $19,000 in clothing and jewelry, an embarrassing episode that would likely be revisited during a presidential campaign.

Jeb was a good enuff governor, but if he is our nominee it will become a campaign of the Clinton years vs the Bush years and we will lose. Period.

It’s better to get a fresh face who can vocalize our values clearly. Also, a fresh face will make it easier to say, “There’s no reason to look back to the 1900’s and pick an old candidate in Hillary. It’s time to look to the future and pick a new candidate.”

Sorry Jeb...nothing personal. We want to win this thing...and you are too vulnerable...fair or unfair.

P.S. Obama was and is an absolutely terrible President. He has no clue how to do anything, but attack the GOP and do illegal things to booster his talking points. Seriously....that’s his job in his eyes.

He never grasped or cared to grasp that he’s President of the entire country...not just the lefty-liberals. It’s too bad the Dems own NBC and large portions of ABC and CBS because much of his corruption and incompetence would have been exposed otherwise. Oh well. The 60’s generation is running this country and they are way way more arrogant, paranoid, and insecure than Nixon ever was...which is just ironic a hell. The good news is they are almost too old to be in charge of anything anymore, but Hillary might eke out another 8 years for them.....

And that's exactly the way to appeal to and motivate the Dumbocrat base. It *wants* socialized medicine; it *hates* personal responsibility; it *wants* to punish the rich and spread the wealth around from workers to the indolent.

Obamugabe has never cared one bit about his Presidential responsibility to all the people -- especially white people, whom he loathes. Both he and his cohort want the dictatorial power to "transform" America into a socialist hell except for the new wealthy fascist aristocracy. At this point it amazes me that some conservatives still think he's playing by Constitutional rules. Someone please post that "this is the government the Founders warned us about" drawing.

“Columba Bush at times seemed a reluctant first lady of Florida. She appeared shy when speaking in English, her second language.”

Jebbie could solve all of this by moving to Mexico and running for Presidente there. Columba would be much more comfortable and Jebbie would fit right in with the elite.
