It doesn’t matter how long he was married before he cheated.
He cheated.
It’s worse because he warehoused her. He waited until she had no say in the matter and couldn’t even defend herself to cheat. That’s worse. She can’t very well call a lawyer and take 1/2 his money now, can she?

You couldn’t afford to hire in home help with your elderly relatives like he can (with our money btw!). I’ve known a wealthy person (of Cochran’s type wealth) who had a relative with alzheimers. He built on to his home a special section for the relative. And hired around the clock professional care. Because he could.
Cochran could have done this as well. His healthcare plan provides for this btw.
What exactly is there to be uncertain of? What? Is it morally, ethically or rationally acceptable to bang the secretary while you ship your wife off to a nursing home because she isn’t worth your time to care for?
Since I so graciously offered you fee advice on self improvement, perhaps you could return the favor. Please tell me how one gets to the point in their life that they are more upset at people for calling him on his betrayal of trust than the man who betrayed the trust of his wife and constituents himself. Because I don’t often come across people with that mentality on conservative websites.
Now as for whether you listen to me, care to listen to me or ignore me altogether, I really don’t care. whether you find me condescending, moralistic ect...nope. Don’t care. What you can’t do though is hide from the truth of what I posted. No matter what you think, it’s still the truth whether you accept it or not.
I totally agree, conservative values means no extramarital affairs. too dam bad if his wife can’t cook, make love or tell him what great dude he is anymore, he is married and needs to behave

I wouldn’t call it picking on us. I’d describe it more as having a liberal sense of morality and a complete lack of direction.
I can’t help him with his morality or liberalism but I can direct him to democratic underground where his views on fidelity would be a much better fit.

Point to ponder:
There are more motorcyclists in America than homosexuals.
There are more of a lot of groups in America than homosexuals.
I want to see someone start demanding rights for these groups using the exact arguments made by homosexuals.
Think about it. Every argument they make FOR homosexuality avoids the sex. Ergo, it is ALL about the sex. they cannot openly say what they believe as it would cost them most of their support. They have to dance all around it without actually admitting it. So they parse it all into ‘born that way’ ‘we just want to love who we want to love’ emotionalism. They cannot say “I want special rights celebrating my desire for homosexual sex acts’.
Actually St. Catherines is a wonderful place, and it's not surprising Cochran chose it. As another poster said, he probably chose it because it's closer to their family.
Well, except for her husband. Who was in his early 60’s when she was placed there. And apparently not ready to do that ‘better or worse’ thing.
Do a google image search for mrs. thad cochran. That older lady in the evening gown standing next to Thad? Not his wife...Even google images thinks Kay is Mrs. Cochran. And apparently that’s been an open secret in DC for way over a decade.
I know more than a few people who keep their family Alzheimers patients at home. And make great financial sacrifices to do so. Because they are private people and don’t want complete strangers changing mama’s diapers. And God only knows what else.
But apparently not everybody does...
And, btw, do his children actually live in MS as their primary residence? I haven’t heard either way.
Oh, and Cochran and his team waited two WEEKS after they learned about the intrusion before they actually contacted the authorities.
