It makes me wonder if Cochran really wanted this to come out.

Im sure if this was planned there was division amongst the establishment to do this.

I don’t care what looks like what. What is ‘is’. Truth matters in all things. And the POS needs to be out of office. If his wife cannot trust him, we sure as hell can’t.

I suspect the Cochran campaign for one reason. They were the FIRST to blame McDaniel. Before anyone else really even knew about it.

My gramma always said: ‘the first hen that cackles is the one that laid the egg’.

They were WAY too quick off the draw with the official blame. WAY too quick. They didn’t even take time to act all hurt and offended about it before subtly casting innuendo McDaniel’s way. They just straight out blamed him, personally.

Meanwhile, the crazy dude in north MS who sent the ricin letter to the president (and was also convicted of pedophilia) also had his picture taken with Cochran. No one in the McDaniel camp uttered a peep about connecting THAT guy with Cochran.

I would guess its a ‘wheels within wheels’ thing. Pretty much everything in DC is.

But what -really- tweaks me is that Mr. Redstate Erickson seems to be just fine covering it up.

Cochran wanted the news media emphasis OFF the fact that his employee executive assistant, who traveled the world to many countries with him, was also his live in boink.

That story was all over the local news cycles the past few days.

Now, it’s OFF the media news cycles.

Convenient, that.

“If his wife cannot trust him, we sure as hell can’t.”

I’m just trying to parse the nursing home 1500 miles away thing.

Knowing that these are VERY vulnerable people and VERY much in danger of being abused, WHY would you pick a home for her that you weren’t even able to drop by and see in on her. The people in these places treat the patients according to how they perceive the family feels about them.

I’d NEVER put a female relative in a home that I couldn’t drop by spontaneously and visit just to make sure they weren’t being mistreated. Alzheimers patients, in particular, are susceptible to all sorts of abuse.

And you’re not going to convince me she was getting BETTER treatment in MISSISSIPPI than she would have in the beltway or NoVa.

And if Cochrane wins the primary, Mr. Redstate Erickson will be his biggest cheerleader. He's a lesser of two evils guy whose conservatism stops at the edge of his ballot.

Try to advocate third party on Redstate. It'll be a fun experience, if you live. Unlike this site, Redstate is a Republican website and deviating from orthodoxy is a bannable offense.

He couldn’t have dumped her more obviously if he tried. What really impresses me is that everyone around the guy knows what he did and still sucks up to him.

That’s a lot of moralless people. I mean lets face it. They KNOW he will throw them under the bus at the drop of a hat if he will warehouse his sick wife. And those people are all part of our governance and leadership.

I feel so great about my country knowing that it has so many paragons of virtue leading it. Is it any wonder they in turn throw us under the bus when we get ‘inconvenient’?

I learned all I needed to know about Redstate with the Romney fiasco. As for going there, Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

“...I trust Henry Barbour, however, about as far as I can throw him. And then there’s Rove. And that creepy chamber of commerce amnesty freak.”
******************************************************************

This collection of RINOs is all over this like flies on New York Senator Schumer’s crap. I don’t think I’ve seen any public Mississippi polling on this primary race, but the NRSC must have access to some internal polling that is not looking good for the GOPe’s man Cochran.

The RINO establishment is going all out in their despicable efforts to keep their mouthpiece Cochran in office.

I’d like to know, honestly, how this is any different from the John Edwards affair on his wife who had breast cancer. The cheerleaders were all over that one with negativity. Instead, we are supposed to ‘understand’ that Thad Cochran == Heathcliff in Jane Eyre.

Not so much with that...Heathcliff at least kept the crazy wife close enough to keep an eye on her to make sure she wasn’t being mistreated.

Read this link:

This guy went out of his way to get the ‘endorsement’ of a fake McDaniel account to make it look like McDaniel gave him a shout out. Crazy people don’t usually have that kind of planning and foresight. Because they’re crazy.

There is no way that TC was not in on this fiasco. Nothing like this...especially since it was such an ‘open secret’, happens in a vacuum. The GOP is every bit as corrupt and evil as the dems and the 5 or so good people still in it need to leave before they are stained by it.

Which is why I don’t really trust McDaniel either.

Read in particular the comment april 15 9:36PM. The establishment doesn’t want to upset the income stream they’ve come to rely on for the lifestyle to which they’ve quickly become accustomed to.

Your right it looks sadly obvious..

If Thad was really concerned about his wifes privacy the story would be stifled quickly.

The fact his actual campaign is fueling it in the media is sick .

I would like to know how many times this creep has visited her .

The safest and smartest bet is to just not vote GOP at all. Cruz and the other good ones need to get out of the party.

Like most institutionalized people, they are placed in care and forgotten. If he showed at all, it was because he was forced to for some legal/paperwork/PR reason.

I kinda doubt the mistress encouraged doting on his sick wife.

Let’s not discriminate against the banana pudding wrestlers(with the “nilla wafers” thrown into the mix...ahh that crunchy goodness)

Cochran is wealthy. If he was REALLY concerned about his wife’s privacy he’d have arranged to find a house in the DC area, remodel it to accomodate an Alzheimers patient, and have her cared for in home. To make sure she wasn’t being mistreated. And because she’s his WIFE. Not some stray dog he found.

As his spouse she’s entitled to the BEST of PLATINUM care for any illnesses or afflictions. And yet he ships her off to a facility 1500 MILES away.

I know a couple wealthy people in similar circumstances. One guy added on 1500sqft to his home of a whole suite including a bedroom/bath for the carers and complete care facilities for his mom. He wouldn’t DREAM of putting her in a home where she could be molested or mistreated. MOST people feel this way. Even if they can’t afford to build on to a home and hire full time care for their spouses or parents.
