Sasse projected winner. A victory over the crummy establishment, but not an unexpected one.

Sasse is Tea Party, Osborn is McConnell’s guy, Dinsdale is the third guy, phony republican who gives money to democrats.

What are the rules for the primary? Winner is the winner or is there some 50% threshold with a runoff?

There is also a governor primary with several on the GOP side. I haven’t heard or paid any attention to that in NE.

I need to do some homework.

Pete Ricketts is endorsed by Palin, Cruz and Steve King.

Bruning is endorsed by Governor Heineman, Joe Arpaio and some others.

Bruning hit Ricketts on comments on amnesty in 2006 on Rickett’s Senate campaign.

The Everify and tuition will come down the the legislature. I seriously doubt either Bruning or Ricketts would support tuition or block everify if something like that got on their desk.

I think Tuition actually got passed with a veto-override against Heineman years back.

This is a really, really good win. Sasse is going to be a nice asset in the Senate for the liberty caucus. He is a really, really solid, smart and articulate guy.

Additionally, this is THE race where the lines were drawn by the McConnell branch of the party. This is where he blackballed the consulting and media groups involved for any party money, and doubled and tripled down on Osbourne...who is a typical establishment pick...folded like a cheap suit in this race with a third place finish. McConnell dressed down Sasse in a well-known meeting and once and for all showed his true colors.

BEN SASSE WINS NEBRASKA GOP SENATE PRIMARY

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/05/13/Sasse-Wins

Excerpt:

LINCOLN, Nebraska—Midland University President Ben Sasse won convincingly against former State Treasurer Shane Osborn and businessman Sid Dinsdale in the Republican Senate primary here, likely sending a vaunted young conservative voice to the Senate in 2015.

Sasse, who received the backing of top national conservatives like Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, as well as powerful groups like the Club For Growth, focused his campaign message on repealing Obamacare and restoring the constitutional vision of the Founding Fathers.

The Associated Press called the race for Sasse. With 13 percent of precincts reporting, he was up 43 percent to Dinsdale’s 26 percent.
