Looks like the lines have all sort of merged into one mass of people...stunning turnout...democracy at work and this without politicians or Oligarchs...the people rose......just a desire for "self-rule".......

Reminder this is not a vote to go with Russia or Ukraine

Unsure what voting place this one is...but apparently in order to manage the crowds they brought tables outside as well with voting containers along side....passports are being checked.

Organisers say they lost contact with 2 voting stations in KrasnyLyman outside of Donestk.... to referendum officials,...city's 'under attack'...

No matter what voting area is set up the people are out in droves

Some have said they waited 2 hours to vote...likely others longer from the looks of the lines

Despite the wait people are smiling and enjoying what they are calling a "Holiday" they will celebrate every year after....others saying "This is our Spring Day"..."Our New Beginning"...

Just so you know the Maidan people and Pro_Kiev’s are itching for a reason to dispel the droves out to vote, and they’re getting their pants in a knot for the turnout...here are some of their comments made to reporters:

*** Putin’s fake voting results will make a second Crimea.

*** How much are they being paid to vote.

*** What will the Legitimate Gov. Say? (lol)
