The below apology from Jahan Wilcox, which was posted by Chairman Priebus, is appreciated by RedState, as is the severe reprimand that we were told was administered. Unfortunately, the willingness of some within the ranks of the party apparatus to demean, and sometimes even work against, conservative candidates has grown this primary cycle.

Im thinking this is just cynical GOPe crap. Trash conservatives to get their people through the primaries. Then after they feel safe from conservative challenges, begin the nice campaign to make sure we don’t stray in November.

Note that the little twerp apologized (following a supposed “severe reprimand”) for posting his nasty opinion about Conservatives, not for the opinion itself. He still believes what he said, and as such, needs to find new employment.

What is the Republican party giving conservatives to vote for in 2014?
I no longer automatically cast my vote for a Republican candidate--Been burned too many times.
My vote has to be earned and, so far, the GOP has been doing a lousy job of convincing me to support them.
